Unfortunately no breakfast or hot meals, tea coffee or sugar provided, my pre prepared meals were put in the micro wave by staff, central heating was not working due to work in progress being undertaken, however portable heater was provided, though not as good as radiator

We loved the aesthetic, the staff were fantastic and we’d happily stay again.

It is close to the city centre, a short walk across the river.
The beds were really comfortable and the staff were friendly.
The walls are so thin that there is so much noise from the other guests. We got woken up at 1am and 2am with I am assuming drunk guests knocking loudly on doors and running away and then shouting down the corridors.
I rang the 24hour hotel number and let them know and it did quieten after this.
You have to lay a deposit when checking in, this is to cover potential damage and show ID. I find this rather formal, however maybe after the night disturbances and needing the deposit, it reflects the type of clientele that stays here at times.
We were a family staying, I wouldn't recommend it for families due to the noise but it is ok for a reasonably priced stay for anyone without children and who can sleep through some noise.
