Hannah's Bay Hideaway is situated just a few hundred metres from Lake Rotorua. Just a short walk from the property, you'll find the Hannah's Bay boat ramp and a fantastic park and playground that the kids will love. The house is modern and built for easy living with a full open plan kitchen and living area opening onto a huge deck to enjoy the sunshine or cook a BBQ. You'll have plenty of parking for the boat so grab the toys and make a booking. Pet Friendly (Charges Apply)
The Space:
Step inside this modern haven, built in 2020 and designed for ultimate comfort. Double glazing and insulation ensure a warm and inviting atmosphere throughout the year, complemented by a cozy wood burner for those chilly winter evenings. The open-plan kitchen and living area seamlessly flow onto a spacious deck, perfect for relaxing, enjoying a BBQ, and sharing stories. The master bedroom features a luxurious Super King bed, while the second bedroom offers a comfortable queen bed. A large bathroom with underfloor heating and a convenient small laundry complete the layout.
Guest Access:
You'll have complete access to the entire house during your stay. This includes the open-plan kitchen and living area, perfect for cooking, dining, and relaxing. Step outside onto the spacious deck, where you can enjoy a BBQ and soak up the sunshine. Both bedrooms are private, offering a comfortable retreat. The bathroom, with its underfloor heating, is also entirely for your use. You'll also have access to the laundry facilities. Outside, you have access to plenty of parking, note the garage is locked for the owner's use.
The Neighborhood:
Hannah's Bay is around 10min drive from the Rotorua CBD. The area is a lovely quiet lakeside community with a mix of permanent residents and holiday backs. The Hannah's Bay boat ramp is just a couple of hundred metres past the house and there is also a fantastic playground there for the kids.
Getting Around:
Navigating to and from Hannah's Bay Hideaway is straightforward. You'll have free parking available on-site. The property is conveniently located a short drive from Rotorua Airport (ROT), approximately 15 minutes. The city center and the main transit hub, the Rotorua i-SITE, is only about a 10-minute drive. Public transportation is available via local buses, with the closest bus stop within walking distance. Taxis and ride-sharing services like Uber are also readily available for easy access to the city and surrounding attractions. Plan your journey and enjoy your stay!

Hannah’s Bay Hideaway fitted the bill for us. Stayed there 5 nights - good base for exploring Rotorua area, especially the geothermal sites. Overall experience was excellent.
A couple of issues though:
The door lock is very fiddly - especially when locking it from the outside. Have to pull the door towards you firmly at the same time as turning the key.
The folding door to the cupboard in the hallway (washing machine & circuit board inside) is also awkward to open if all the doors have been fully pushed in. (Needed to get to the circuit board as the cooker hob was ‘locked’ & there weren’t any instructions how to unlock it - turning the circuit off & back on sorted it, but instructions would have been helpful.)
