Lake Okareka Cottage

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in this quiet and convenient location. It was perfectly situated for exploring, being so close to Rotorua and Lake Tikitapu, and only a short walk to the edge of Lake Ōkāreka itself. The accommodation was cute, well-appointed, and filled with thoughtful inclusions. We especially loved the nice outdoor BBQ area opening onto a private garden setting and having a great local food market nearby.

Personal preferences only: the bed and couch were a little softer than we are used to, larger cooking pans (handy for cooking pasta) would be a great addition to the kitchen, and a floor lamp in the living area would make reading in the evenings much easier.

We liked the spaciousness, privacy, the cosy lounge area, the kitchen facilities and dining area. We appreciated the washer/dryer and other appliances.

There was a lack of air flow in the bedroom with no window to open.

WLAN hat nicht gut funktioniert, das war aber wohl nur kurzfristig; die Straße geht direkt am Schlafzimmer vorbei und die Schalldämmung ist nicht sehr gut, aber es fahren nachts wenig Autos

The location was excellent. The accommodation very comfortable and tastefully furnished. Also a very nice outside area.
