About this house rental
A comfortable and very well liked tastefully furnished 3 bedroom holiday home at Lake Tarawera! An excellent location with good lake views, sunny position with ample deck space, close to the boat ramp, good parking and driveway for those with trailer boats! I also have an often available Lake Tarawera waterfront Lockwood property that sleeps 11 with a new jetty. It may be beneficial to have a second look using my name Norman Donald and 2 lakes, as an alternative, if you get my drift here.
The property is just 200 meters from Solitaire Lodge should guests wish to treat themselves to a top end dining experience. Te Karamea bay with its sandy beach providing the best swimming beach is accessed via Cliff Road, but a short walk away.
There is a double mattress available that can be pulled out of the bedroom and set up on the living room floor thus accommodating up to 8 people.
Linen (Bedsheets, pillowcases, and towels) are mandatory at this property now and you will have been charged at $35 per person for the stay when responding to your booking request.

Stayed for a family wedding at Black Barn. Sleeps 3 couples, if any singles, need to put mattress in lounge. Nicely presented, clean and tidy, lovely gardens/underplanting.

It is so wonderful to stay in a place that is so well appointed! Everything we needed was right there - including a well-stocked pantry - and it all worked! The bach is extremely comfortable, clean, and well appointed. Norman was fantastic to deal with, and responded very quickly to any enquiries. Lake Tarawera is one of my new favourite places. We hope to come back soon.

House was very comfortable and spacious. Unfortunately there were no towels and linen on arrival which was disappointing. Personal belongings were found in the cupboard? Generally all was fine and stay was enjoyable. House and kitchen was well equipped.
