We absolutely loved our stay here. Such a lovely break from the hustle and bustle of CDMX.
I've stayed in hotels that have cost upwards of $1500/night and not a single hotel has EVER offered free snacks and drinks in the minibar. It's such a small gesture but so thoughtful and goes such a long way in making a great impression. We also loved the rooftop - such a lovely place to hang out. Overall, this hotel was just stunning, staff was lovely, rooms were spacious and beautiful and location was fun.
Staff could have been better at concierge services -- but we felt that way for all the places we stayed. Doesn't seem like it's quite a thing as it is at other top hotels in Europe. Also, room cleaning was inconsistent in terms of timing - not a huge bother but would have been nicer to have it done earlier in the morning/afternoon.

A well-located stay in Polanco, perfect for couples who enjoy comfort and walkable surroundings
Casa Ofelia is a charming and comfortable hotel in a great location, right in the heart of Polanco. My wife and I really appreciated how peaceful and cozy the rooms were, and everything was clean and well maintained. The hotel is also close to many shops, cafes, and restaurants, which made exploring the area super easy. The breakfast system is unique: instead of a buffet, you receive a voucher to use at one of two nearby restaurants, which we thought was a nice touch.
Although the breakfast option was good, we would probably skip the included breakfast next time. It wasn’t a traditional hotel-style buffet and, with so many excellent cafes nearby, we’d prefer to explore more local options in the morning.

False advertising on robes and slippers. None were provided and when I asked I received different responses from “sure, I will have those sent up” …. Which never happened to “no, we don’t give those out to regular bookings”. I’m not sure what a non-regular booking is or how I would arrange that. It’s not as though this was a cheap hostel and the website and reviews online talk about the joys of eating breakfast on the balcony — except there are no robes or slippers, no room service, and breakfast consists of coffee/tea and what amounts to two pastries. Nothing substantial or special. A nice, well designed, and enjoyable neighborhood coffee spot, but misses the point if you’re looking for breakfast.

This lovely boutique hotel was perfectly located in the desirable neighborhood of Polanco. The room had very tasteful decor but the bathroom was a disappointment. The grout was dirty and the lighting was poor, along with low water pressure. The bed was very comfortable. I wish there had been better care taken of the plantings on the balcony. We were in room 5, where the balcony jogged to the right but was sizable. One of the best parts of our stay was the very helpful front desk staff.

Reseña de mi estadía en Casa Ofelia – Ciudad de México

Como huésped que valora profundamente la atención al detalle, el servicio cálido y una operación hotelera bien organizada —especialmente durante viajes de trabajo— considero importante compartir mi experiencia en Casa Ofelia con el mayor respeto, pero también con total transparencia.
Escogí este hotel con ilusión, buscando un espacio cómodo para una semana laboral intensa en la Ciudad de México. Sin embargo, desde antes de mi llegada comenzaron situaciones que, lamentablemente, marcaron toda la estadía.
Desde el viernes previo intenté coordinar el transporte con recepción y concierge, pero durante varios días no fue posible contactar a nadie. Solo el lunes, cuando ya estaba abordando el avión, logré hablar con una persona, y únicamente después de expresar mi preocupación se comunicaron con el gerente. La explicación que recibí fue que, por ser un fin de semana festivo, no habían podido atender. Entiendo los tiempos especiales, pero también creo que un hotel debe contar con protocolos para responder aun en días festivos.
Al llegar a Casa Ofelia, la experiencia continuó siendo complicada. Las instalaciones de la habitación mostraban un nivel notable de deterioro: el baño necesitaba mantenimiento urgente, las manijas de la ducha se desprendían, y el aire acondicionado no funcionaba. Estos detalles, aunque pueden parecer menores, afectan significativamente la comodidad del huésped y la percepción de cuidado del lugar.
Algo que también se hizo evidente es que el hotel opera con muy poco personal —aproximadamente tres personas—, lo cual limita el nivel de servicio que se puede ofrecer. Lo entendí aún más cuando tuve que ausentarme una noche por reuniones en otra ciudad y solicité apoyo para lavar mi ropa. Me entregaron una bolsa de basura para depositarla, y al regresar me informaron que el servicio no se había realizado. Solo hubo disculpas, sin soluciones.

Molto accogliente, staff molto gentile, ubicazione perfetta sé vuoi stare a Polanco. Letto spettacolare, arredamento stupendo, colazione (da Niddo) sebbene fuori (ma adiacente all’entrata) eccezionale!
Mancavano alcune cose per il livello della struttura come le ciabattine e porte usb per la ricarica dei telefoni (abbiamo chiesto adattatore prontamente fornito). Inoltre alcune prese elettriche non funzionavano.

La atención y el servicio que recibí fue excelente. La habitación muy cómoda y bonita, con diseño elegante pero sin exagerar. Tienen un roof garden súper agradable donde me ofrecieron café, té, mezcal y tequila (sin costo :)

Me hospedei para comemorar meu aniversário e a Aly e Tamara, recepcionistas do hotel, foram muito amáveis e fizeram uma surpresa para mim: meu quarto estava decorado e havia uma caixa de chocolates e vinho. Com certeza fizeram meu dia mais feliz!

Todo! Amamos que fuese personalizado además está en una excelente ubicación, cerca de la avenida principal de Polanco, muy seguro y lindo de caminar. Tiene dos opciones de desayuno en los costados y son muy buenas, sobretodo el tipo español en donde se puede desayunar típico mexicano. Todos los accesorios del baño estaban completos el champo y el bálsamo eran de té blanco y de muy buena calidad, la cama muy bien y cómoda. Finalmente debemos reconocer que todo el personal fue muy amable, nos ayudaron con datos y reservas. Mención especial a Tamara que fue un encanto! Gracias por ayudarnos con los adaptadores de los enchufes :)

Es la 2da vez que nos alojamos. Nos ha gustado Todo! La habitación muy cómoda, con terraza. La cama perfecta, muy bien decorado y al lado de restaurantes y tiendas. Es tranquilo , no hay ruidos.
