    I had a really bad experience here. I couldn’t tell if the door was locked or not after the staff tried it from inside, so I stepped out to check — and ended up locking myself outside. I contacted the owner, but he said he couldn’t come to help and didn’t even have a spare key. Instead, he told me to go buy a battery charger myself to charge the door lock and enter the code. I did exactly that, but the lock still didn’t work. Then he started blaming me, saying I broke the charger and had to pay for it. He even sent me a video claiming it was “proof” that I damaged it. It was ridiculous. We told him either come fix it, call someone to open the door, or we’d have to call the police — because he kept pushing responsibility back on us and refusing to help. Later, a lady from the homestay came by (she didn’t speak English) and somehow managed to open the door after all. But throughout the whole situation, the owner was rude, unhelpful, and kept blaming guests instead of taking responsibility. Really frustrating experience — definitely not recommended.

    We stayed for 3 nights. The reception was easily contactable thru whatsapp and Mr Hai was very responsive to regarding out queries. The room is also nice, spacious and cozy. The upper bed is super comfy and there’s a lot of space especially for backpackers. Walking distance to old quarter but best to ride a grab bike to save time.
