The Sail House

Fantastic location overlooking the harbour. The house has been refurbished to a very high standard with quality fittings, kitchen, furniture and beds that are very impressive. However, there are certain aspects of the property that are not detailed in the description and really need to be.

Firstly the parking arrangements are totally unsatisfactory, in fact the allocated car park space is not fit for purpose (Photos Attached). I made the agents aware of this from the outset of our stay and unfortunately we were told that there was no other alternative. At the point we arrived the space was already occupied by a large white van which was totally unacceptable. The front windows to the property need some kind of blinds to help with privacy as the property looks out onto a busy road and main walking route down to the harbour. It would also help keep out the evening sun which sets directly opposite the house and would help you to watch the downstairs and upstairs lounge TV. The property has steep stairs from the ground floor up to the 2nd floor and isn't really suitable for people with mobility issues but this is not listed in the description. On the ground floor there are two steps that give cause for concern, the one from the kitchen area to the living room area is easily missed as it's not marked to make you aware of the potential trip risk. The other step is as you enter/leave the property and although less steep than the other step it really poses a trip threat every time you go in or out of the property. There was only one key to cover every guest and potentially there are 6 guests which is far from ideal.

Superb location . 3 equally sized bedrooms with double+ beds & en-suite to perfect for a group of adults . Contemporary decor , well kitted out kitchen & fantastic view over the harbour .

Internal staircase steps are steep & narrow so should be a consideration if anyone has issues with steps.
