Cumberland House

Lovely modern property with fabulous outdoor space for our dogs.

It is a beautiful house in a quiet location. The facilities are superb and there is a lovely garden.

The front and back doors have a key code and automatically lock. We were told we did not have access to the code but had to use another key found in a lock box. The directions to where this would be were incorrect. The back door did automatically lock when closed and with high winds at the time there was a risk of being locked out. The front door kept automatically locking when not closed. This was not a big deal but was out of character with the rest of the house and its functionality. The property is managed by Blue Mountain Escapes. People have bad days but the 2 different people I spoke to several months apart seemed to me be rather irritable and their processes not altogether efficient in terms of the customer experience.

Gorgeous house with plenty of space. The kitchen is well stocked, perfect for cooking up a storm after a days exploring.

Overall the house looks like the pictures. Comfy and nicely decorated living space, dining and kitchen areas. Excellent heating system too, making the house comfortably warm on winter days. Lovely gardens. Very nice sunshine too on the verandah, lovely place to sit during the day. Quiet neighbourhood but close to both Katoomba and Leura shops.

Door lock was always roulette as to whether will shut properly or not, so often delayed being able to leave the house, however, there was a guy come to fix it on the day we checked out. Some wear and tear obvious on bathroom flooring and outdoor sofa cushions have some black spots on them, but I would definitely stay here again.
