Positioned upon absolute escarpment-front land, Mt Solitary House captures the entire view of the Blue Mountain’s renowned Mount Solitary, offers a modern, elegant interior, and just 10 minutes away from major attractions. Mt Solitary House offers unbeatable location. Just 3 minutes from Katoomba town centre and Leura Village, and 10 minutes of the Three Sisters, Scenic World and numerous lookouts, waterfalls and bushwalks, Mt Solitary House gives unparalleled access to the Blue Mountain’s favourite attractions and adventures.
Mt Solitary House offers a simplistic, yet modern design. An entry foyer spills into an open-plan living and dining area with direct views over Mount Solitary through generous valley-facing windows. A newly renovated kitchen extends the living area, equipped with all essentials, including gas stove, coffee machine, toaster, oven, and of course, mountain views.
No one will miss a great night’s sleep with Mt Solitary House’s five bedrooms, each fitted with fresh bed linen and towels before every booking. Two master bedrooms offer a King and Queen bed, respectively, each with ensuites. Two additional bedrooms each with Queen beds, a fifth bunk-bed room, and a linen-fitted portable floor mattress (available upon request for groups of 11 or for a $50 linen fee for groups less than 11, at least 8 days before check in) allows a maximum of 11 guests to enjoy the premises. We also cater for families with infants, with a cot (fitted with linen) present in one of the Queen bedrooms. For guests without ensuites, a central feature bathroom is available, with large open shower and free-standing bath.
A spacious, covered deck (with charcoal grill) offers all-weather outdoor entertaining, with unobstructed views of Mount Solitary and surrounding valley-land. A second vantage platform sits near the escarpment edge, for closer views and deeper immersion in the fresh Blue Mountain air.

This fee will be automatically added during booking. We will prepare linen and beds for only the listed number of guests, so please ensure to inform us of all guests attending.

Excellent home for bigger family groups . View fantastic and living area very functional. Heating worked well . Some basic pantry items would’ve been useful, including coffee pods . Ample plates and cutlery but only a few tumbler glasses and 1 champagne glass . Overall the few days we stayed was comfortable and a great location to visit the sites .

Property has 5 bedrooms, 3 good bathrooms and very good views.
House was very comfortable with plenty of amenities, eg baby cot, several portable fans, heating, full kitchen with utensils, etc.
Easy check in.
Responsive host.
Things that didn't do well....
Charcoal bbq pit was not cleaned after previous use. Had to spend 45 mins clearing all the ashes below. After cleaning and fire started, temp would not go above 350F. Ended up not useable to bbq any meat.
Kitchen Hood although useable, has some buttons missing and doesn't ventilate effectively.
Smart TV is slow and the remote is cranky.
Could do with some upgrades.

This is a fabulous property with a fantastic view. The kitchen had everything we needed, the bedrooms are great and the bathrooms are wow! The heating worked well and kept us all toasty warm. I stayed with my adult family of five and our dog, and everyone was very happy with Mt Solitary House. Thank you!

Wonderful views of the mountains, very clean, beautiful garden/scenery, comfortable beds, very quiet area, Host replied promptly. Overall, we loved the place. Just the getaway we needed.
