Atmospheric, comfortable and clean
Amazing old converted monastery with beautiful frescos. Clean and comfortable with pleasant, helpful staff. Close to lots of good bars and restaurants.

We really enjoyed our short stay- wish it had been longer!
Beautiful hotel in an excellent location

A great place to stay and experience Bergamo!
The hotel is in a very convenient location, situated in a historic building. The surroundings are very cozy and the interior is elegant. The room was small but charming, and nothing was lacking. There is a lovely and pleasant inner courtyard where you can enjoy your morning coffee or spend the evening with a glass of wine. The hotel staff is very helpful. The best part is that all (!) major attractions are within walking distance. Despite being in the heart of the city, it is peaceful. In the mornings, you are awakened by church bells, but it actually becomes a kind of ritual. Around the hotel, there are many small restaurants and shops. It is truly a great place to stay.
We have no complaints. Just a small remark — the breakfast could be more varied.

Overall wonderful hotel but some improvements would be nice
I loved the fact that it is located in old monastery- the frescoes are gorgeous, they whole area is wonderful. The food is quite good too, the staff was nice. There is an appartment room with a small kitchen which is a great choice for some.
Two notes about the room: it had a very strong aroma diffuser hidden behind the couch which took us a very long time to find. The smell was strong, the diffuser was set to maximum which is too much for a fairly small room. I think it is better to not use those as some guests might have allergies or just sensitivities. We were one of those guests and it was uncomfortable the first couple days until we found the diffuser qnd could turn it off. second note is about duvet cases. I understand many italians use sheet-duvet-sheet system and hotels still prefer that, but it would be better to use diver case to avoid sweat and dirt getting onto the duvet that , i imagine, isnt washed after every guest unlike the sheets. Just a recommendation. Its not a big problem but wanted to point out in case hotel wants to improve and future guests find this point important to know. Then a note about facilities: Spa use isn’t included, costs 20€ per person per 1.5h, needs to be booked in advance but thats okay… what isn’t great in my opinion is the age limit of 16 years old. Many terme and spa in Italy have age limits but they are usually 12-14yo, not 16. We had two teenagers with us, so we weren’t able to enjoy spa. I didn’t see anything about the age limit written on booking.com, only later did I see that note on the website. The weirdest thing is that at some point the hotel did offer us to take teens to spa as an exception, after closing time (10-11pm) of we sign a paper saying we take full responsibility… At that point it was too late for us so we didnt go. And it begs the question: so the use of spa by younger people IS possible but only if hotel makes an exception? Then why is there a rule? I understand not letting small children in- they can be loud and saunas arent always safe for them, but 16 is a very high age limit. It wasnt a big mark on our stay, not a big loss really, just something I wanted to point out for others to know.

Would return again
A very enjoyable 3 night stay. Staff super helpful - came immediately when safe refused to open. Room a good size and well appointed. Spa was very nice - we had it almost to ourselves - towels and robes delivered to our room. Largely a domestic clientele which was nice. Hotel 15-20 minutes walk from the funicular in a quiet part of town. Local shops and restaurants, and easy to get to most places. Breakfast was plentiful and good quality
For some the hotel might have been a little far from the old city but Bergamo is very much a walking city

A pretty hotel but not sure it was worth the cost.
Great location, clean and modern. Friendly staff. Convenient parking.
The elevator nearest our room was broken and we had to use several sets of stairs, which we specifically did not want to do. The mattress was very hard. The hotel is kind of a maze with insufficient signage.
