B&B Smeraldo Airport

Located at the heart of Bergamo, about 10 min. walk from Porta Nuova train station, the property is a two-bedroom apartment suitable for families or large groups. There are three beds in each bedroom (a double bed and a single bed) - 6 people so far. There is another bed in the living room and a large sofa - 9 or 10 people in total. The kitchenette is spacious enough - a table, chairs, fridge, stove, oven, coffee maker (Italian style -mocca x 2 - a large and a small one) - coffee available. There is a washing machine in the bathroom, which initially we intended to use, but we didn't. The bathroom is spacious enough, too. The host (Cristian) did everything to makes us feel special. He arranged for an easy online check-in several days before our stay. We had a constant communication via WhatsApp once our plane landed. When we got to the apartment building, he even sent live location tracking via WhatsApp and didn't make us wait long. Rarely have we had such a nice host. Around the property, there are lots of restaurants, fast food chains, supermarkets, etc. The historical part of Bergamo is about 30 min. walk from the property or 20 min. walk + 10 min. funicular (cable car). All in all, we have been very pleased with our stay in Bergamo and we are very grateful to Cristian for being one of the best hosts we've ever had. Needless to say, if we ever go to Bergamo again, we will definitely choose B&B Smeraldo Airport. Thank you, Cristian!

I have always wondered why people give negative reviews, and I have never been able to answer this question myself. Obviously, every place, even a six-star hotel, has one or two small disadvantages, but, before writing something negative, we should ask ourselves - did something get wrong during our stay because of the property where we stayed, or did something get wrong and it is the property and the host to blame? I wish all properties were like this one, and I rate it 10/10 without any reservations.

The location is excellent. Right in the city center (low city) with a bus stop right in front that brings you to the old town in a couple of minutes (although you can also easily walk). We could park in the inside courtyard for an additional fee. The appartment is spaceious and owner is very friendly and responsive!

The appartment itself is a bit dated, but that could be seen from the images itself. It is clean and that is the most important. Showering in the bath tub (the shower head was loose) was a bit of an inconvenience.
