The location was excellent with lovely views from the rooftop balcony. The apartment was good value for money; very clean, comfortable and well equipped.
Instructions on how to work the TV/remotes would have been helpful!

Check-in super .. Betreuung und Kontakt mit Glenn super und schnell.. sehr sauber.. alles vorhanden.. sehr heimelig und ruhig (man kann in Ruhe schlafen) .. werde wiederkommen

The apartment was perfect to meet our needs as a couple plus small dog. Fabulous views across Torquay harbour. It was cosy and very warm. Glenn, the host, provided excellent communication and access arrangements were easy to follow.
The apartment is on the fourth floor with many stairs for access. Would not suit anyone with mobility issues.

Our experiences were mixed.
The living room and kitchen are nicely decorated and the sofa is super comfy. The water pressure in the shower was great and I wish we could take that home!
The kitchen was well stocked with tea and coffee and a pint of milk was a welcome surprise.
The balcony is pretty however we didn't feel comfortable using it with signs warning of a low balcony and a previous guest reporting a camera.
When it came to the bedroom, it felt like the owner had run out of money after decorating so well.
The mattress is fairly thin and I ended up rolling onto the wooden bed frame must nights which meant I didn't sleep well. Although there is plenty of hanging space, there are but few drawers to put things away during our stay.
Although the property is pet-friendly, it's not 'cat proof' as there are gaps in the bedroom cupboard big enough for a small cat / kitten to get into that lead into a locked cupboard - we stuffed cushions into the 3 big gaps and that was fine.
I scored the property low on cleanliness as previous guests hadn't cleaned the oven after use and some cups, plates and crockery were sticky from previous guests and this hadn't been picked up by the owner. As is often the case with an internal bathroom, moisture finds it hard to escape leaving mould on the grouting in the shower tray and ceiling. There are a number of stains on the living room carpet.
Another guest commented on the ineffectiveness of the bedroom blind and I can confirm it lets a lot of light in so if you're looking to sleep in, please bring an eye mask.
For transparency
The smoke alarm went off at 02h and 02h30 on our first night. The owner has agreed to refund the first night's charge although at the time of writing this hasn't arrived.
The owner alleges we broke the hand basin during our stay and we are disputing this with Customer Service.
