Excellent location apartment, great value for money.

The location was excellent with lovely views from the rooftop balcony. The apartment was good value for money; very clean, comfortable and well equipped.

Not very happy being blackmailed by the owner if we complain.

The rooms were warm. View from kitchen window was good.

Money was taken out end of June not November given the wrong address, 6 flights of stairs. Cooking equipment burnt, hob not cleaned, where was fridge freezer, coffee machine, no books & games. Shower sloping roof couldn't stand upright to clean teeth or toilet. though notified the hinge was coming off the door it was never repaired. Sun terrace we think is illegal did he get planning permission? Only had a smart TV for 2 weeks replacement was poor standard. Took photos on arrival as didn't want to be blamed for bad maintenance. So much was wrong we hope booking.com get in touch with us.

Great accommodation in good location and amazing views.

The apartment was perfect to meet our needs as a couple plus small dog. Fabulous views across Torquay harbour. It was cosy and very warm. Glenn, the host, provided excellent communication and access arrangements were easy to follow.

The apartment is on the fourth floor with many stairs for access. Would not suit anyone with mobility issues.

The property is in a great location, only 15 minute walk to the harbour. Perfect size for 2 people. Kitchen and living room facilities were good. The view is absolutely stunning.

Unfortunately the bedroom let the property down a little. The bed was quite uncomfortable.

The apartment was well equipped and generally comfortable. The view was exceptional from the balcony and main windows.

Really excellent place to stay.

I lived in Torquay for 12 years so I knew the location was excellent for access into the centre by foot. I never had any problems parking and this should still be true in peak season. The flat itself was excellent and comfortable,with great views over the sea. The people living around were all very friendly and welcoming to us. I was there with a friend who took the main bedroom, I brought a sleeping bag and bedding and slept on the sofa which worked out fine. I would definitely stay here again and it was great to be in Torquay again.

The only negative thing is, it is walk uphill from town then up 3 flights of stairs so if you're not fit this isn't for you, but this is mentioned in the advert so 10/10 from me.

A mixed review

Our experiences were mixed. The living room and kitchen are nicely decorated and the sofa is super comfy. The water pressure in the shower was great and I wish we could take that home! The kitchen was well stocked with tea and coffee and a pint of milk was a welcome surprise. The balcony is pretty however we didn't feel comfortable using it with signs warning of a low balcony and a previous guest reporting a camera.

When it came to the bedroom, it felt like the owner had run out of money after decorating so well. The mattress is fairly thin and I ended up rolling onto the wooden bed frame must nights which meant I didn't sleep well. Although there is plenty of hanging space, there are but few drawers to put things away during our stay. Although the property is pet-friendly, it's not 'cat proof' as there are gaps in the bedroom cupboard big enough for a small cat / kitten to get into that lead into a locked cupboard - we stuffed cushions into the 3 big gaps and that was fine. I scored the property low on cleanliness as previous guests hadn't cleaned the oven after use and some cups, plates and crockery were sticky from previous guests and this hadn't been picked up by the owner. As is often the case with an internal bathroom, moisture finds it hard to escape leaving mould on the grouting in the shower tray and ceiling. There are a number of stains on the living room carpet. Another guest commented on the ineffectiveness of the bedroom blind and I can confirm it lets a lot of light in so if you're looking to sleep in, please bring an eye mask. For transparency The smoke alarm went off at 02h and 02h30 on our first night. The owner has agreed to refund the first night's charge although at the time of writing this hasn't arrived. The owner alleges we broke the hand basin during our stay and we are disputing this with Customer Service.

Excellent accommodation with stunning views.

Very clear instructions with details. Great communication. A very comfortable couch and television set up. Unrivaled views of Torquay. Proper cutlery, glassware and crockery too.

The lock was electronically set to open exactly at 15:00. Of course the owner is well within their right to do this, but as we arrived a little early with a baby (who wasn't feeling well after the car journey) a few minutes grace period or flexibility would have been welcome.

Nichts! Muss man wissen: Es ist eine Dachwohnung im 4. Stock.. viele Stufen :) kein Lift Gebäude auf einem Hügel .. man geht fitter als man gekommen ist 😉

Unbedingt vermeiden

Fotos der Unterkunft sind offensichtlich stark bearbeitet, sobald man die Unterkunft betritt, unangenehmer Geruch, den man mit Lufterfrischern versucht zu überdecken, unappetitlicher Teppich, Badezimmer mit Schimmel. Kein zugewiesener Parkplatz, ganzes Gebäude sehr alt und in baufälligem Zustand. Nach der Stornierung keine Antwort mehr von der Unterkunft, Rückerstattung nicht erhalten.

Das Appartement war sehr liebevoll eingerichtet. Der Ausblick war sensationell.

Mein Mann ist 1,95 m groß und hat sich ständig den Kopf gestoßen, für große Menschen vielleicht nicht gut geeignet da viele Dachschrägen.
