Tunturihuvila III

This place felt amazing, sitting on the shores of a frozen lake and watching the aurorae blaze overhead. Easily fitting nine people, for the pair of us it was luxurious. It's quiet, in the middle of nature, 10 Kilometers from the nearest petrol and shops, absolutely perfect for a quiet getaway. Harri and Rikkaa (the hosts) were fantastic and helpful. House fittings are extensive and lack nothing, beds (all singles in all rooms) are comfortable, and there's two saunas, one inside and one outside for those wanting to do the sauna - lake dip thing. Added bonus is that the downstairs toilet/shower/laundry area has an external door so it can double as a wet room. We cannot commend this place highly enough.

The turnoff from the main road is tricky to find if you're using a GPS in winter (ask us how we know!) so take a little care or, better yet, message Harri early for a waypoint.

This is a 10/10 property! Highly recommended! We spent Christmas here and our family couldn’t have asked for anything more, everything was perfect. The host was so friendly, the house had everything you could reasonably need, it was like a home away from home. We were also very lucky with Northern Lights nearly every night of our 5n stay. We will definitely be back.
