Äkäslompolo is great! The cottage is cozy. Good stay

Äkäslompolo is great, beautiful village, lots of things to do in winter. Cottage is nice, good sauna.

I would have expected some help with finding the cottage and baggage handling. What I absolutely didn’t like is the data-leak that happened and the phishing as a result. The company didn’t give any explanation or information about what data was leaked. Very unprofessional and I’m contemplating filing this at authorities.

Adequate room for sleeping

The room was good, clean. Key pickup was easy even though not at the premises. It had kitchen for cooking, sauna, washing machine, good space and fireplace.

Picture on the website did not match the room, it wasn't a log built rowcabins with trees and forest outside, it was a regular rowhouse built on a parking lot, terrace was on the parking lot. Room worked and functioned, but the aesthetics were a huge minus and misleading. Bedroom didn't have blackout curtain for summer.

Lovely rustic cabin with everything you need

Lovely rustic cabin with all the amenities for a comfortable stay. The private sauna is great, the beds are comfortable, and the kitchen is very well-equipped. Easy access to XC skiing & walking trails.

The decor is a bit dated, but it kind of adds to the charm. :) The stairs to the sleeping area are super steep - I would imagine they are very difficult to use if one has mobility issues. It would be nice if the kitchen had some basics (salt, pepper, tea).

Superb

Nice, modern apartment with everything you might need, including a sauna and a fireplace. The skii track is in mere 100 meters. Shops are in 1 km.

The 2nd floor has a very low ceiling - your head will feel it! In addition, the ladder leading to it is very steep. Check-in time is 18:00 - I have never see anything like that. At the same time, check-out is at 11:00, why?

Won’t recommend..

Location

1. Separate 1km apart locations to pickup keys and stay. 2. with family booking (2+1) it was assumed that at least one double bed /joint would be provided, instead two single beds and one mattress was provided. We had to made it ourselves. 3. In-house fireplace didn’t have enough woods left. 4. No smart tv in this age. 5. Kitchen utensils were left in the dishwasher, we had to arrange then in order and re-wash for uncleaned items. 6. Living room wasn’t bright enough.

no communication from the operators, the response to our emergency call asking for help locating the property was 5 days

having lost 24 hours of our stay due to not being able to locate the property (D2) we had less than 24 hours in the first property before being asked to move at short notice.

I loved it here! This apartment has just everything someone could wish. Clean and super cozy and with the Pallas-Yllästunturi nationalpark around the corner it is just a great place for hikers. I hope one day I can come back and stay here again.

Had to change apartments part-way through stay

Clean and simple

Not really where they said it would be. Turned out to be further away from the ski trails than expected. Found out AFTER Booking.com booking that we would have to change apartments part-way through the stay. Staff at weren't very customer-focussed - they saud I had to liaise with their cleaner about timing for moving to the next apartment. We asked them to do this but they wouldn't.

Beautiful lake view. Only couple of meters walk to the ski tracks. Cozy apartment and it had everything we needed.

The cabin was very far away from the main road. My sister hurt her leg on the trip and we had to give up our rental car the next day. It was very difficult to plan our route with all our luggage and with the injury. We were told that the busses would be very close by for when we were heading to the train station but this was not the case.

Superb

Very satisfied with the staying here for a week. I can find everything want I need here in the room. Everything is clean. Cross country skiing tracks are near and downhill skiing center are close. Ice fishing on Kesänkijarvi is interesting. Even skiing equipment care room can be found near cottage. Luckly we saw two times aurora during our stay! Further more, I really recommend E-fat bike adventure around the lake.

Everything is good, but the fireplace smoke did not go out, and the fire alarm rang because of that, so we have to open the window and doors so that the smoke went out. Another thing is that the floor heating seems doesn't work in living room, so it's quite cold in living room, but bedroom works well. Pictures show in bookings. com is misleading, you should check the official website for actual looks of the cottages.

Lavastoviglie non ben funzionante. Reception non risponde ai messaggi velocemente e non ci aveva avvisati di averci lasciato le chiavi in una busta al nostro arrivo. Soppalco scomodo per persone alte.

Würde ich auf jeden Fall weiterempfehlen und wiederholen.

Die Lage war phantastisch, direkt am See und Zugang zur Loipe und nur 900m bis zum Supermarkt, sehr gut zu Fuss machbar - auch bei -30°C. Es war gemütlich im Apartment und es hatte alles was es braucht, inkl. Waschmaschine und Sauna. Wir hatten 2x die Bitte Serviceleistungen auszuführen, diese wurde sehr zeitnah und zuverlässig durchführt.

Die Treppe im Apartment war sehr steil und im Obergeschoss kann man nicht gut stehen, starke Schrägen - ist sicher nicht für jeden angenehm. Ausserdem haben wir im Apartement keinerlei Gebrauchsanweisung gefunden für die Lüftungsanlage, Sauna und das Schloss an der Tür - wir hatten Potenzial uns auszusperren -wenn man nicht weiss wie das Schloss funktioniert.

Із задоволенням рекомендую всім хто шукає якісне житло в дуже красивому місці.

Сподобалось абсолютно все. Дуже комфортний будиночок, є все необхідне, багато різноманітного посуду. Дуже порадувала сушарка для одягу, піч, сауна. Будиночок останній на короткій вулиці і прямо за ним ліс. Дуже чарівне місце, ми відчували себе як в зимовій казці.
