Peace and quiet by the river

This was our second stay here at the Haka cabin and it was as good as the first one three years ago. The cabin is very warm and spacious, it has big windows that are great for watching the northern lights. About 20 minutes drive from Levi centre, far away enough from light pollution. Quiet area with a lovely walking trail nearby. Don’t expect luxury as facilities are basic and slightly outdated but that’s exactly what we wanted - a cozy cabin in the middle of nowhere that makes you feel like you’re in the good ol’ days :) can’t wait to go back!

Amazing place!

It's an amazing place. Remote, peaceful and cozy, looks even better than in the pictures. The house has everything you might need, plus a really nice sauna, which is just the best thing at the end of a cold day. We loved sitting outside and watching Aurora dance over the river. And I love the decor! Those small wooden tables are one of my favorite things about the house :) It was our third time staying there and I'm 100% sure we'll be coming back. Thanks!

Charming stay

Loved our stay, both the cabin and the surroundings are charming! The cabin is spacious, with a nice cosy feeling to it. Found the kitchen to be particularly nice with its large table and the very large windows. The hosts and staff were very nice and accommodating, which we really appreciated. Levi is just a 20-30' drive away, with plenty of shopping and dining options. Would absolutely love to come back!

Some of the mattresses could use a refresh.

Overpriced (rough) night sleep.

Set in a quiet place by the river, the cabin was comfortable and it was a delight to find a tv that works. Kitchen was well equipped and beds - although not spectacularly comfortable as too small - were ok. The big windows around the house allowed us to appreciate the view easily. Nice touch.

One of the bedrooms was full of flies, and it was not possible to keep them out as one part of the screen was not shutting properly. So, not possible to open that window or to use that room. Another bedroom had the electricity board in it, which made a constant and very annoying humming sound. Sleep was a bit rough for us, using that room. The last bedroom, even though it had a light, it (the light) was so dark it almost did not make sense to switch it on. There was a container full of cigarette buts left in the balcony, and another one in the varanda. Sore sight. The cabin was full of dust, fluff, cob-webs and dead flies. Bathroom not clean. We left it cleaner than we found it, actually, even though the instruction was to leave it “as you find it”. Oh well. The next guests will be luckier than we were. Communication - after booking - was inexistente. I sent two messages asking about the advertised canoeing and had no reply. Disappointing to our girls, who were looking forward to rent the canoes and go for a ride. Why advertise it if you don’t offer the service? Overall, an overpriced (rough) night sleep.

rustic cabin with a great sauna

We really, really enjoyed the huge wood-burning sauna, which imparted a lovely aroma to the entire cabin. Dmitry was welcoming and helpful. Most of the windows had screens to keep out the mosquitos, which we very much appreciated.

The utensils in the kitchen were not terribly clean. The double bed was narrow for two people. There was no electrical outlet in the bathroom. The wifi was weak and spotty.

Superb

Stunning isolated location on a frozen river. We would have loved to have been able to stay longer. Suits travel if you are renting a car. lucky enough to see northern lights.

Check in could have been better. had to call a few times as I never received the code for the key lock. they insisted on only sharing this 2h before checkin time. I had seen this mentioned in other reviews, and adds unnecessary stress. It was also unclear which number chalet we were.

The Heart of silence

Super comfortable and warm place. Amazing view on the river and forest. 25minutes by car to Levi center but this place is super suggested. The owner is super kind and offers us to come in his sauna but the house has a sauna super efficient and clean.

Distance from the center but we have choose this place to be distant and see the northern lights (hope in it)

very quiet.

well, tv had no signal, no washing machine facilities. we were given a long list of cleaning instructions to be done before we check out. vacuuming and mopping of the house, dusting the carpets, empty out the vacuum cleaner… just to make a few! I feel that I am paying to do housekeeping for my holiday.

Most amazing location I have ever seen in my life

- The location is definitely the biggest reason to choose this cottage, the river view is AMAZING!! - Owners are very friendly. - The place is big and there is a sauna, kitchen etc. - Don't want to put this in the negative list as it makes sense with the price, but bring own towels and sheets.

Pretty wooden house with the view for the marvellous river behind the house.

I had to call the owner to receive information about the code to the box. It could be sent day or two earlier. The apartment was not cleaned before our arrival. There was written in the apartment's guide that there is an additional fee for not cleaned apartment. It occurred that the host hasn't check if the previous guests cleaned it before their departure. I sent some photos to the owner about the apartment's cleaning condition.

We had cabin 21 and received a map in the messages, but nr 21 was not written there, it was actually the main building, we struggled a bit to find it.

Chalet simple avec équipements de base

Check in autonome très facile grâce au code envoyé 2h avant l'arrivée. Le chalet tout en bois donne un cachet authentique. Le logement est simple et minimaliste, mais il comprend les équipements de base. Les chambres et la salle de bain sont spacieuses. La présence du sauna apporte un vrai plus.

La propreté de la vaisselle et des appareils électroménagers était vraiment mauvaise. Le four était très sale à notre arrivée. Il manquait selon nous de l'éclairage dans la pièce de séjour (séjour en février donc luminosité réduite en soirée). Le canapé est vieillissant : il serait temps de le remplacer ;-) Confort au niveau de la literie très basique.

Magnifique chalet, chaleureux et agréable

Le chalet est dans un endroit absolument magnifique. Il est très bien équipé, très agréable. Nous avons bien profité du sauna dans la salle de bain qui était parfait.

C'est dommage qu'il n'y ait pas de connection wi fi, plus pratique pour organiser nos journées.

L’endroit idéal pour observer les aurores boréales avec sa proximité de la rivière. Le logement est très chaleureux et ses lits confortables. On apprécie la vue.

La cuisinière avec les plaques sont pas très pratique mais ça fait le boulot.
