The location was set in forestry and was very quiet and tranquil
The weather was 5-6 degrees cooler than Funchal!

Casa dos Castanheiros is a fantastic house. It felt as if it is the family home, with beautiful furniture, paintings an decoration.There is also a fire place with enough wood in a cupboard in the hall.
Outside there were too lovely kittens that became our friends. We felt sorry to leave (although they were clearly well taken care of).
The kitchen is foreseen of all amenities.
Plenty of parking space in the (huge) garden.
The setting is very beautiful.
There is nothing we didn't like about the property.
