Perfect for keen adventurers, Scafell Pike – England's highest peak, is within a 28 kilometre reach while a twenty-minute walk will take you to the sea at the Esk river estuary – great for tranquil walks with furry friends in tow. What’s more, the garden of this home sits on a neighbouring stream for wonderful summer picnics. Inside, the cottage itself is relatively modern, with a beamed open plan living space big enough to cook up a hearty family meal. Pop over the road to the butchers for a Waberthwaite birthplace delicacy – the traditional Cumberland sausage.
