Braiklay Hideaway - Cosy and modern 1 bedroom garden house - very dog friendly!

All of it.

Nothing

We had to change our check in time as it was going to be very late in the evening. Tina, our host phoned me to talk me through finding the accommodation, but was very understanding about our late arrival. She left the key in the door with lights and heating on for us. The Hideaway is in a very safe and secluded location. Tina came to see us the next morning to make sure we had everything. As I'm allergic to dogs she had ensured that no dog owners had used the place recently and it was reassuring that she had remembered my allergy so I knew it was dog free. There were beautiful roses in a vase to greet us and milk in the fridge. Plenty of coffee pods were provided for the machine. We had fresh eggs from Tina's free roaming chickens which were delicious. The two ring hob worked well and it was great having a microwave. We loved being able to access Netflix as we don't have this at home. We loved the interior design of the place, pretty paper napkins supplied too! Super bathroom. We didn't get to explore Tarves but we wished we had been able to spend some time there. There's a good choice of supermarkets very nearby.

Obviously so many good things to say about the place and I know that any problems Tina would have been keen to help sort out. The only thing to say would be to be aware that it is a small place. My husband made good use of the desk in the bedroom but there is very little furniture to unpack clothes into. However this is really splitting hairs as we spent four very comfortable nights in the Hideaway and it was in an excellent location for our plans.

We loved every second of our stay, so clean and comfortable, beautifully decorated and furnished, a little hidden gem! Tina is an amazing host who is really passionate about this tranquil haven and it shows in the thoughtful little extras in the property. From the friendly welcome, the peaceful nights sleep in a really comfortable bed it really was perfect , so much so we were sad to leave. Highly recommended.

Tina was very welcoming and helped me bring my bags into the garden house. It's decorated beautifully and had pictures of her dogs and cats on the wall which was lovely. I didn't end up bringing my dog with me but I'm sure he would have been very happy there. It was a perfect retreat for me to go back to in the evening after a busy time catching up with lots of friends in Oldmeldrum. I would definitely recommend Braikley Hideaway.

I can't think of anything negative to say.
