Beautiful hotel, but misleading spa facilities and poor communication
The hotel itself is beautiful and the room was very comfortable and well presented. Access to the executive lounge was a nice touch and definitely added value to the stay. Overall, the property looks and feels high quality, which made the disappointment even greater.
I booked this hotel primarily to use the indoor pool and spa facilities, and unfortunately this was very disappointing due to limited availability and poor communication. I stayed for just one night with my young cousin and we were leaving early the next morning, so using the pool was an important part of our stay. Before paying (while free cancellation was still available), I called the hotel to confirm the pool opening hours and mentioned that I specifically wanted to use the facilities. No information was given about any closures or limitations. I also mentioned this again at reception during check-in, and again nothing was said. When we went down to the pool, one staff member showed us where the pool area was, but did not mention that the jacuzzi and sauna area was closed. Only after I noticed this myself and checked Booking.com did another staff member explain that renovations have been ongoing for several months and that only the pool is currently available. This was the only time the situation was clearly explained. The pool itself was small, not heated as expected, and there were no loungers or proper space to leave personal belongings. The showers in the pool area were also not working properly and there was very limited hot water. The main issue was not the renovations themselves, but the lack of transparency. I spoke to staff multiple times before paying and during check-in, yet the full information only became clear after I had already paid, checked in, and changed to use the facilities. Because of this experience, I was left quite disappointed and would not consider this a particularly positive stay.

It was beautiful
I chose this room type because it stated that a bath was included; however, we were given an accessible room with only a walk-in shower. As the room appeared to be designed for accessibility, I also expected the balcony to be wheelchair accessible, but it was not, as there was a large step up to the balcony door. Additionally, the covered area on the balcony could be improved. There was an open roof space between the room and the balcony, meaning rain was falling on us. It would have been better if the roof were extended and attached to the outside wall to provide proper shelter.
