About this apartment rental
Cozy and bright apartment on two levels in the heart of the village of Bellagio.
The apartment, beautifully furnished, is located on the fourth floor of a building accessible by some stairs. The entrance opens onto the living area, furnished with a comfortable sofa, a TV ,a dining table and a fully-equipped open kitchen with an oven, a microwave, a dishwasher, a kettle, a juicer and a toaster. From here guests can access the two balconies overlooking the central square of Bellagio and the lake view. Adjacent to the living room a first bedroom features a queen-size bed and a spacious wardrobe, while the second level of the apartment, accessible by stairs, houses the second bedroom with a single bed, a wardrobe and a desk. The layout is completed by a bathroom with a hot tub that can also be used as a shower.

*In the area where the accommodation is located there are no taxis or public transport available for short local transport. It is therefore advisable to reach the destination by car.
*The apartment is located in the ZTL area, therefore we suggest leaving the car in one of the nearby parkings and enjoying the old town on foot.
Lake Como offers some of the most striking urban, landscape and architectural gems of the entire Italian peninsula. Among these treasures stands Bellagio, "The pearl of the Lario", a village of just over 3000 inhabitants on the northern end of the Larian Triangle, in which the two branches of the Lake are divided.
Among the most fascinating aspects of this village there are undoubtedly its charming villas, famous all over the world for their splendor and their manicured gardens. To mention some of them, Villa Melzi boasts many works of art and 18 km of paths in its garden, and Villa Serbelloni, today a conference center of the Rockefeller Foundation, features a wonderful garden as well. The old town, with its numerous shops located along narrow streets with steps, passages and arcades, is renowned all over the world and attracts thousands of tourists every year. The territory of Bellagio is vast and varied, you can visit the different lake hamlets such as Borgo di Bellagio, Loppia, San Giovanni and Pescallo, up to the top of Monte San Primo, reachable with a dense network of paths and itineraries for lovers of trekking and nature. Finally, Bellagio is well connected by boat to nearby villages such as Varenna, Lenno, Bellano, Menaggio, Tremezzo and Como.

Loved everything about this property. It was in a great location just far enough away from the hectic tourist traffic. Great views of the lake in the distance and we loved hearing the church bells from the church located in the same square. One word of caution - it is a hefty climb of the stairs to access the unit. However, the climb does allow for the amazing views.
Our only true disappointment was the poor communication we had with the Property Manager. Despite the unit having a Washing Machine, we could never determine how to work as the plug did not fit into the outlet. After several attempts to contact, we simply gave up and the machine (which we had planned on using) was never an option for us.
Otherwise, all was outstanding!

The apartment has real potential. Its location is fantastic—right in the heart of Bellagio, with beautiful views and easy walking access to shops, restaurants, and the ferry. It’s reasonably clean and functional, with helpful touches like a washer and portable clothesline.However, for the price point, several drawbacks made the stay less comfortable than expected. The apartment is on the top floor (4th Euro/5th US) with no elevator—lugging bags upstairs is tough, especially after travel or for anyone with mobility issues.The biggest issue was the lack of proper cooling. There’s no central AC—just one small portable unit in one bedroom and a fan. The two-story layout meant the upper bedroom was unusable during a summer heatwave, with indoor temps around 85F (29–30C). Sleeping and relaxing were difficult.Basic supplies like toilet paper and paper towels were minimal for a multi-day stay. As a fellow VRBO host, I know small details like these matter.The management company, Wonderful Italy, was mildly responsive—replying with check-in info on the day of arrival to address a pre-stay issue—but did not respond to any of my messages during the stay about additional fans or luggage storage after a 10 AM checkout. Being largely ignored made a difference.This could be a great stay with better cooling, more amenities, and reliable guest support. For now, I can’t fully recommend it.
