Amazing views and great hospitality

The house was beautiful with incredible views over Bergamo and surrounding area. It was extremely clean, with comfortable beds. The host, Alessandro was very kind and accommodating and provided us with a lovely breakfast each morning.

Not the property's fault but beware that the San Vigilio funicular doesn't seem to run on evenings in winter (even though the timetable says it does), so it's quite a steep hike up the hill from Citta Alta. The views are worth it though!

Unexpectedly surprised at how marvelous this place was!

I liked that the property was off the beaten track, yet still close enough to walk into the old town. The owners were super nice and accommodating, a the breakfast was abundant and delicious! A beautiful old building updated with modern interiors and all the amenities. Loved it!

I can't think of anything that could have been better. Everything was exceptional!

Disappointed with the experience given previous reviews

The building was renovated recently and the facilities were new and clean. The building itself was gorgeous. The staff was cordial with us during the whole stay and gave us recommendations for what to do in the city. Getting there was not as difficult as we expected.

Difficult to talk about the facilities as the terrace was under renovation, despite no warning at the moment of booking - I believe the re-opening of the house was premature and a bad decision from the staff. The central air-conditioning did not work (although staff said it was) and with the windows open we had a lot of mosquitoes coming in. Very uncomfortable overall. The bed was too soft, no lumbar support at all. Breakfast was very limited, store bought cakes and coffee was not great -and sitting in high chairs for breakfast makes no sense, but I guess we would si at the terrace if the renovation was finished. Additionally there is no lift, so carrying stuff up was a tad difficult.

Superb

Wonderful, spacious pension located above Bergamo's Citta Alta. The rooms are clean and have a great view across Bergamo. The host and his familiar and very kind, attentive, and helpful. The pension has a common room on the ground floor where breakfast is served, another one upstairs where one can enjoy tea, read, or meet for playing s game, and a garden to relax and enjoy the great view. Breakfast is very nice and extensive, with different pastry and toast, yogurt, muesli, and fruit being served. There are a couple of neat (but rather expensive) restaurants nearby. Alternatively you can walk 10 min to the funicular, which will take you directly to the Citta Alta and the excellent and more affordable restaurants there. (At the exit of the downhill funicular station, you can find the restaurant La Marianna, the birthplace of stracciatella ice cream, which also serves nice sandwiches).

Die schönste Aussicht, einfach grandios. Der Besitzer Alessandro ist sehr freundlich und zuvorkommend. Das Anwesen ist einfach toll. Die Einrichtung sehr geschmackvoll.

Un sitio entrañable al que volveremos

La ubicación era muy buena a pesar que no hizo un tiempo despejado para poder disfrutar de las vistas. El desayuno muy bien, quizás faltaba algo de fruta. La Citta'Alta de Bergamo es muy pequeña y se en un as pocas horas. Al ser tan pequeña se concentra mucha gente.

Salir y entrar con el coche es bastante complejo y el navegador te mete por carreteras muy estrechas. Tuvimos suerte con que Alejandro nos dió muy buenas indicaciones para llegar. Pero la salida no era tan fácil.

Fantastiskt boende och tillmötesgående och väldigt trevlig värd i ett lugnt och tyst område ändå nära centrum. Vyer som tar andan ur en! Fin tillgång till trädgården. Bra vattentryck! Sparsam men kvalitetsmässigt mycket fin frukost. För oss en perfekt frukost. Croissants "to die for". Bra parkering!

Mooie locatie. Groene omgeving. Je loopt, of neemt de funivia, maar de oude stad. De eigenaar is zeer vriendelijk en vertelt graag over de geschiedenis van Bergamo. Volg zeker zijn aanwijzingen om de B&B met de auto te bereiken.

Erg mooie, smaakvol ingerichte b&b op wandelafstand van de oude bovenstad van Bergamo. Het ontbijt was erg gevarieerd, de uitzichten magnifiek en gastheer Alessandro was erg vriendelijk en behulpzaam. Onze kamer was ruim, het bed erg comfortabel, alles was krraknet.

Es war wunderbar und besonders.

Der Blick über Bergamo ist grossartig und die Ruhe einzigartig. Das Haus ist sehr geschmackvoll und modern eingerichtet. Das Frühstück auf der Terrasse war ein toller Start in den Tag mit Cappuccino, Toast, Brot und Belag, Yoghurt, frischem Obst und mehr und immer von guter Qualität. Die Fahrt nach Alto Bergamo mit der Funicolar ist spektakulär!

Die Lage, der Gastgeber Alessandro, das Zimmer… war alles sehr gut. Das Zimmer sehr sauber, gute Ausstattung, schönes Bad. Frühstück war typisch italienisch… hat uns gefallen. Bergamo auch… eine sehr schöne Stadt!
