What was disturbing, although it was not the hotel’s fault, was that the neighbors on the upper floor were noisy in the evening, but this does not detract from the hotel’s high-quality services.

Good for 1 night

The hotel is near train station which was great. The room was clean and bathroom was nice. Heater worked well. They let us keep our bags after checkout

The room setup was awkward, one room inside the other. The beds were small and not very comfortable and the bedding was not very warm. They forced us to pay in cash for the city tax, which meant we had to take out cash from ATM and pay lots of fees for a small payment during our final days in Europe.

The location was superb.

Noise travels between rooms easily. A rubber door stop or similar where the toilet seat and lid hits the wall xould help a lot i think, and cost hardly anything.

The location was very handy to the train station, Hop On Hop Off Bus stop, cafe's and the bus port for tour bus's. Staff were very friendly and helpful, and the breakfast was sufficient with croissants, breads, cereals, yoghurts, eggs juice and coffee. The rooms were large and clean with plenty of storage. The bathroom was very clean and functional.

The television could have included more english speaking channels and even Youtube would enable us to research places of interest. The rooms were tired and dated but not issue.

A great place to stay as a family for a 2 day visit to Firenze.

Hotel Desiree is a great choice for a couple of days visiting Firenze. We stayed as a family of 4 and we had a great experience. The hotel is located by the the historic centre so you can walk around easily and all importante sites are at a walking distance. Great value for the money. The room was large enough for the whole family to sleep comfortably in individual beds, and although it's not the most super top hotel, it was very clean and well organized, with very friendly and helpful staff.

We felt that the breakfast could benefit for more choices. But for the price it was decent enough.

Near the train station. Convenient stores nearby. Fast food and eatery places are easily accessed.The room is clean and quiet. Breakfast choices are plenty. The staff are warm and accommodating.

Not sure if ok to open the door by the window in case the glass panels will fall or break as some parts were taped already. Toilet seat needs fixing. Dimmable bed side lights please.

Great service, but needs updating.

Location was excellent. Room had air-conditioning and was quiet. Staff were brilliant!

Shower took a while to warm up, and would go cold if another tap was in use. The decor was so old, it felt un-clean. The breakfast was not what we were expecting either, it was a pastry, with a yoghurt, piece of fruit and a drink - it felt more like a packed snack-fast.

We love this place close to everything, the staffs, I can’t recall there names but 2 male and 1 female at the reception desk, there are so wonderful, polite and helpful, breakfast buffet were free and it was very good, I only remember Asha one of the server she is very nice and friendly! We love to come there and stay there again! It was close to everything, train station, restaurant, buses, walkways. It was a wonderful experience! I will do it again in a heart beat! With love your guests from USA❤️

Crap place

Most of the staff were good - especially the lady in the breakfast place which was very attentive and cordial.

A lot of things - first it is a 3 star rating hotel and not 3 star hotel. Beds were ok. The window latches were broken and the darkening panel wouldn’t close fully and also there were no curtains. I have never been in a bath cubicle was the worst I have been in ever in my life. In short don’t waste money thinking it is a 3-star property.

Terrible hostel stay away

Some staff were nice, bkfst acceptable.

Terrible hotel in dreary old building, on 2nd floor, 19th century elevator w manual doors, shabby furniture, v hard spring mattress, official 3 star but more like a one star hostel. Charged me €250/room in advance but on arrival rate was $100, don”t spoil your visit to Florence stat away from this dump.

Great bang for your buck.

The staff is really kind, it is close to the train station, very clean, and a great deal. I ask for a safe and clean property with kind staff. This place fits the bill; we are also a really low maintenance family and I don’t care if the furniture or room isn’t modern…I’m not moving in-just resting my head for a night or two. I find the whole setup charming & the elevator is the coolest thing-older style with wooden door and gate you can see through as you go up the floors-really neat!!

The staff were extremely friendly and helpful. The atmosphere of the building from the elevator to the rooms was beautiful. The breakfast was amazingly delicious. Surprisingly quiet and convenient location.

The shower pressure was very low, making it difficult to take a shower.

Very tired, unclean, peeling paint, mould in bathroom, stained and torn bedspreads, noisy street, shower door missing, 1 pillow per person - spare pillows removed during stay to put in other peoples rooms - body hairs on sheets - not value for money at all. Tried to raise concerns with manager who denied there was a problem - very rude. looked at his comments on booking.com and no doubt he will dispute there is an issue.

The hotel was at excellent location, a few minutes walk you are right in front of the train station. Our room was big, without carpet. Windows provided good sound proof. They have good breakfast as well. Staff was kind and helpful. I think best hotel for value in Firenze. Strongly Recommended!!!

Lovely helpful staff and hotel was in a great location but breakfast could have been better

The location was very good for the railway station and for the main tourist area eg Cathedral, The David and the River Arno. Also very close to the market which is a great place to eat. The breakfast was OK but could have been better if there had been some fresh fruit with it.

There was no fresh fruit available at breakfast. Also the croissants weren't as freshly baked as we had had elsewhere.
