Where to start. So we made it clear when we would be checking in and the owner has confirmed this time with us. However, we waited over an hour and a half outside the flat for him to show up, and he kept telling us “I’ll be 20 minutes” whenever we rang. I’ve attached a photo of us still sat outside at 15:09, after we agreed to check in at 14:00 (little did we know we would have to wait another hour). Anyway, when he did finally turn up, he did not apologize, and was with his cleaning lady and told us we still couldn’t check in because the apartment hadn’t been cleaned yet… So after waiting another 25 minutes, he finally came down and let us in, and when we arrived this poor woman was frantically cleaning the apartment, doing dirty dishes (which has obviously been left by whoever was there before us) and trying to find clean linen. Honestly we couldn’t believe it. Meanwhile, the owner was busy using WD-40 on the lock and key because he kept getting the key stuck each time he used it.. When they finally left and we had paid, we looked round and lots of the dishes were still dirty and we had to wash up everything before we used it. The beds were uncomfortable and the cleanliness of the bedding (which was left for us in bin bags) was questionable. And the next day, the shower rail collapsed at a gentle pull as the curtain so this was the cherry on top and we left the apartment pretty angry.

Fresh, clean apartment. Quiet neighborhood. Nice host.

We met with the host at the airport. The apartment was fresh and clean. There are two groceries and a pet shop nearby. We stayed with 2 cats. Farmers market is in 1.3 km walk. City center ~2.5 km. Apply sun cream, wear hat and have a bottle of water leaving the apartment.
