19 The Shades - Walk to the Beach and Village!

All the basics you look for in a property were undeniable: Clean, cozy, comfortable (VERY comfortable couch and beds), spacious, great security and every appliance worked perfectly. What makes this excellent is the extra effort put in to provide: entertainment (bookshelf with variety of interesting books + board games), extra extra towels, sheets, toilet paper, cutlery, dishes, washing materials, streaming platforms, paper and pen/pencil, travel guidebooks and fast consistent communication with the lovely host Charmaine. The location was perfect! JUST close enough to the beach, mall, restaurants, shops etc without hearing the hustle and bustle of a major tourist center. Close to the airport and other parts of Durban. The pool and braai stands were a great bonus.

There wasn’t anything I didn’t like! Just things to keep in mind is that sometimes the WIFI struggled to reach the second bedroom especially the furtherest twin bed. And there a stairs to get into the apartment and pool area that can challenge older folks

Safe place to stay and good value for the money

Firstly the host made sure that we collect the key and arrive safely by staying with us on the line until we were sorted. The location is peaceful, place clean and welcoming, a home away from home. Will book it again in the next visit.

The main bedroom did not have lace curtain for when one wants to rest on the bed with curtains open. The other thing is that there is not much privacy in the garden, especially when the neighbors are also outside relaxing. I wish they could put partition of some sort.
