Château Davitiani

Beautiful views, great food and lovely wine

The road from the main road is more of a track, as the hotel is located right in the middle of the vineyards

Hidden between the wine ranks is chateau Davitiani. A little hard to find as its at the end of a dirt road but it adds to the charm of it all.

Apart from liking the chateau, we do want to give the following warning: The manager seemed set on getting as much money as possible from his guests and it was made clear on several occasions. We booked a last minute deal at a good price on booking but when the time came to pay he said our price was "cheap" and that we had to pay extra, showing us a picture of a computer screen from with a different price on booking (we paid as we didn't want trouble). After checking out we asked if we could stay by the pool for an hour before leaving; "no problem, just leave your towels at the pool". After 5 minutes he came to us saying "he didn't make the rules" and we had to pay if we wanted to stay. We just left after having several situations where the manager just seemed to think we didn't pay enough. TLDR (long story short): beware of the nice deals on booking, they bite you in the ass if you want a nice relaxing stay.
