Worth to come back

We had our own room facing the courtyard. It was quiet. Good quality toiletries in the bathroom. Fantastic breakfast!! You can make your own juice with the juicer. Very good quality cold cuts, croissants, bread. Nice atmosphere.

We consider the sauna area to be additionally paid, 60-70 euros, to be a scandal :/ Private parking far from the hotel. There should be a restaurant menu in the room. I remember that we got a discount at a restaurant, but we don't even know what amounts we're talking about, especially since there's nowhere around to eat GOOD.

Best for couples on a short stay

Great location and breakfast. Very clean.

Admitted we were not the target audience (2 friends, not a couple). The room did not match the pictures on booking. There was no private pool, as described in booking. If the booking description and pictures was accurate we would not have chosen this property. Also, in the early fall the property is not allowed to turn on the heat and we were cold.

Very enjoyable stay!

First of all, the location is perfect with an ideal view. The hotel is clean and new, the furniture is new and comfortable. There is an elevator, breakfast is included, and the staff service is all excellent and very pleasant.

I didn’t like that parking was not available, and when it was, it was far from the hotel. There was no drinking water provided in the room. Also, the breakfast menu was very limited and could use more variety.

1. The hotel is very beautiful and clean. 2. The reception staff were extremely helpful — they arranged a taxi and parking for my car (especially Domenico, who was outstanding). 3. The hotel's view is breathtaking, and its location is very close to Riva del Garda and just steps away from the ferry to the surrounding lakeside villages. 4. The breakfast was very nice and delicious (I didn’t try lunch or dinner). 5. There’s a grocery store and restaurants right next to the hotel. 6. The bathrooms were clean and well-maintained.

1. The hotel's private parking is a bit far from the property. Cost 10 euro per day. 2. You might experience some noise at night from people passing by or traffic in front of the hotel.

A - too short stay at the beautiful Lake Garda

The location of this hotel is perfect - right across the lake and our room had a 180-degree view of the lake. The receptionist was very friendly and upgraded us to a room with a terrace and spa bath. The breakfast was very good with warm dishes and a spread of cold continental dishes and sweet treats. The hotel is a proper 4 star graded hotel and has recently been renovated. We were very happy with our room and the hotel in general . Can definitely recommend it .

Elevating the Garda experience

It’s our 2nd time in the hotel and it was amazing. We booked private spa which was extremely nice. The rooms were clean as always and the staff was as helpful as possible.

When in Garda, stay at Garda.

Location, location...: Arrived 20:00; temp. parking space at front door (nice!), then, fr. desk offered to take my car to the previously purchased parking slot, saving me the 500 meter walk back (nicer!). Upgrade of rm to a balcony view over the lake (really nice!). Excellent rm., esp., the bathroom. Samira, at fr. desk, communicated with me via booking.com multiple times, allowing me to relax that the room was waiting for our arrival. Then, turned out that the cardriver had already left, so my car was still at the front door for us to leave in once we checked out. Also, the 11:00 checkout was 'loose' -- probably not full-booked.

Breakfast room is nice; food itself --thorough, but average.

Overall, an amazing stay with very few negatives, which we would love to repeat.

Staff: Really friendly, welcoming, helpful staff. Upgraded us to a lovely room, as we were celebrating our anniversary. We could not fault the staff at all - they really bent over backwards to help us with everything. Balcony facilities and view: Lovely jacuzzi on the balcony and the view was gorgeous. Breakfast: Really excellent breakfast with great coffee and food options for pretty much every taste I think. Even a juicer to juice your own fresh fruit. Saw a review mentioning that you couldn’t always sit with a view of the lake. We found that you could sit wherever there was a table free. No one made us sit anywhere in particular. There is a section that is set slightly back from the main breakfast area in a fairly characterless room but no one was dining there and there is plenty of room in the main area to be honest. We didn't have time to try the hotel's restaurant Aqua, but it looked fantastic. Hopefully on our next trip. We also loved that you could order room service / cocktails from the restaurant to have in your room or on the balcony. What a treat!! Again, we planned to do this, but didn't have time! The bed!: The bed was SO comfortable (probably the most comfortable one we encountered during our stay in Italy - and we stayed in several places). It is an orthopaedic one I believe - firm but not rigid and the pillows were great too - just right! Aspects of the room: The room was spotless and there was a small fridge in the room with reasonably priced drinks (same price as a nearby shop). We liked the decor too - modern, but warm. There were enough places to connect devices in sensible locations on both sides of the bed. The aircon also worked well and we didn't have to fiddle with it once! Location: Very convenient location close to bus stops and the ferry terminal.

Balcony privacy: We didn’t like the fact that the balcony/jacuzzi was not fully partitioned from the next room. You can literally walk into the next person's balcony. Also, as non-smokers, we found it unpleasant to have people's smoke wafting over us as we were in the jacuzzi. This will obviously depend on your luck / timing, so if you go out when your neighbours aren't using their balconies, it will be fine. Also, you have to bear in mind that this would be the smoke issue would be the case in a hotel's adjacent balcony. It just feels nasty when you are comfortable in the jacuzzi as a non-smoker. Room storage / facilities: We really needed more shelf space in the bathroom! The bathroom is lovely and the sink is a good size for shaving (according to my husband), but there was nowhere to even hang a hand towel next to the sink. As well as the large, open shelving as you walk into the room, some closing drawers in the main part of the room would have been very useful. The room also needs a rubbish bin. Not just one in the bathroom. Price: We found the hotel expensive in general for rooms - even the price of the economy double (from which we were upgraded) was a stretch for us. We also found the size of the lake view room quite small considering its price point - we had two cabin cases and had to use the desk to be able to have one of them open and accessible. A larger case, would definitely be in the way, unless you unpack what you need and then stored it upright somewhere.

great location overlooking the lake

amazing rooftop view of the lake, fantastic check in and check out process with friendly staff, great breakfast selection and coffee. id have loved to try the massage and spa but ufortunately didnt have time. the bathroom was huge and the shower was great

the second bed was actually a sofa bed, but it was still comfortable. the fridge was very small with no ice or freezer section

Amazing staff who really made it a great stay..the location is great, right on the lake and it's clean, comfy and modern. Great bathrooms too and we received a free upgrade.

You had to pay for the spa and use wasn't included - that said, if you booked it you had it to yourself and it was lovely!! Beds could be a little softer but were still comfy.

An awesome stay in a perfect hotel

Thanks for an awesome stay! It really exceeded our expectations. The personnel was absolutely great: they upgraded our room to a room with a lake view (see the photo), were extremely nice and helpful. The room was clean and neat, with daily cleaning. The view was above any mentions. The Hotel is gorgeously situated: close to all points of interest in the area. I definitely recommend Hotel Lago di Garda! Will come here once again for sure!
