A lovely and very comfortable room in a great location.

Location was great. Easy to walk to restaurants and shops, but set back from the road, so it wasn’t at all noisy. Beds were comfortable. Very clean. Nice decor. Plenty of plugs. There’s a little kitchen down the hall with a small fridge and microwave, shared with others, which was nice. I definitely recommend Herbert House!

Adorable, comfortable and lovely place to stay!

This place is adorable and comfy cozy! Our room was large, very comfortable, clean and so adorably decorated. It was within walking distance to Killarney town and also Ross Castle. The breakfast is delicious! I highly recommend the pancake with apple sauce and cream! This was my favorite place to stay out of my entire vacation in Ireland! You will love it!

Wonderful welcoming Guest House.

We paid for breakfast which was delicious. It was made to order . Lovely staff and breakfast room. The host Neil was lovely and friendly. So welcoming. We booked last minute and ended up being one of our best. Close to the shops, restaurants etc. Our room was big and spacious. Lovely peaceful look out to the garden. Well recommend.

Wonderful stay at Herbert Guest House

Beautiful guest house. Comfortable room. Shared kitchenette for guest use which was appreciated. Kind and friendly host Neil.

It would have been nice to have had a shelf or cupboard in the bathroom for toiletry bags, especially when there are 3 people sharing one room and bathroom. The bin in the shared kitchen is way too small for all the rubbish.

Our stay at Herbert House was absolutely perfect. The place was spotless, comfortable, and beautifully maintained. The location was excellent, and the hospitality was outstanding. A special mention to Neil — truly the most amazing person I’ve met in a long time. He made our stay even more memorable!

A friendly guest house, with its own special atmosphere

We stopped at Herbert House for a single night of a round trip. Coming by car, the location along the main road (N71) was very convenient, with a short drive or a 15–20 minute walk to get to the town centre. Parking on site was easy. Our room was overlooking the front side parking and facing towards the road but the house was set back enough that we did not notice any noise during the night while sleeping with an open window. Since we had leftovers from previous self-catering stays we skipped the offer for breakfast but found it very nice to have a shared, well equipped kitchenette to prepare our own. If we had staid longer, we would have made use of the charming place to sit reading a the window that our room offered or the garden area. The style of this guest house and its rooms may be a matter of taste – for my liking it is somewhere between very charming and a bit over the top. But it is all very clearly shown on the photos. There is no question for the owner and anybody else we dealt with – friendly and hospitable, making us feel very welcome.

Beautiful family run bed and breakfast in a great walkable location. The family was so welcoming, especially to our two small daughters and went above and beyond to make our stay wonderful.

Walking distance to the town centre, spacious room and easy parking. We really liked that we had access to a kitchen with a kettle, microwave, toaster, fridge, tea, coffee, biscuits, plates, cuttlery, an iron and ironing board. We would certainly stay there again.

We only had one set of keys between three of us, it would have given us a bit more freedom if we each had keys.
