Amazing view
We liked everything about our stay. What can be more magical than seeing the moon and stars rising above the amazing cathedral from your bedroom? The hosts thought about everything. There is even a bottle of Orvieto waiting for guests in the fridge. The location is perfect, just off the main cathedral square with easy walking to restaurants and shops. The apartment itself is quiet. There is parking close by. Costs about 15 Euro a day. Totally worth it.
There was nothing we did not like. However, there is a washing machine in the apartment (yay!) but we could not find a drying rack. For those with mobility challenges: there are two steep flights of stairs up to the apartment (hence that incredible view).

Nice clean place
The house is in a good location close to the duomo. It is comfortably sized for two people. We were happy with this place so just take my negative comments as extra info. Note to others: Parking is an option very close by the duomo at a discounted rate of $12/day, but it isn’t a big lot. We got a spot every time after being gone for the day, but one time it was the very last spot.
Check in wasn’t difficult, but it requires you to meet someone and be let into the property. She just wanted a 30 min notice. It’s not a big deal—just noting it for others. There was a washer, but NO clothesline or drying rack. There was a remnant of a rack and one clothes pin. We had to improvise. Rentals in Italy don’t tend to give you hair conditioner.

The location was perfect, it was cozy and peaceful. Very pretty.
There wasn’t an iron or steamer. Our travel steamer broke during our visit.

Amazing views, lovely apartment, great town
This accommodation is light, bright and a pleasure to stay in. The town itself is also great to stay in - I’d recommend the underground tour and going up the clocktower for the view, as well as all the many other places of interest. The location and views from every room are outstanding. It’s at most 5 minute’s walk to the cathedral and you can hear the bells from the apartment. Getting there is actually quite easy via public transport, even with suitcases. The funiculare is right across from the station and goes very frequently. At the top, there is always a shuttle bus waiting and it is included in same ticket as the funiculare. The bus takes you up to the cathedral square – no need to press the buzzer, it terminates there and returns back to the station. If you wanted to walk from the funiculare, it would take about half an hour and is slightly uphill – not too bad if you don’t have heavy bags. Valerie answered my initial questions through booking.com promptly then Roberta showed us around the apartment when we arrived, including the bottle of wine left for us - she was courteous and encouraged to us to contact her is we had any questions or issues. The design and decoration of the apartment is very good. It only has one common wall with another building and that’s the back of the loungeroom so there’s no neighbour noise. It’s not huge but definitely not small, especially the lounge area. It was a heatwave while were there and the AC units in the lounge and the bedroom kept the apartment lovely and cool, and it was not stuffy to sleep at all. Bedroom - Lots of wardrobe space. AC is great when the weather heats up and the shutters allow you to keep the heat out during the day. The bed was comfortable. Bathroom – it’s a little small but has a lovely view and a great shower with a screen, not a curtain. There is good water pressure and temperature.
There was nothing I didn’t like, just some very minor things that might be useful: The washing machine was tricky but we worked it out: make sure dial is in 0 then turn the dial to choose the cycle, press Confirma then Avvio. There was also no iron that I could find. The drying line was very small and hung on the Juliet balcony, and I could see that a previous guest had lost a sock from not pegging them on securely. A larger, stand-alone dryer would be handier. This being early summer and festival time, there was a little noise in the evenings that floated up from people talking in nearby restaurants and walking home on the laneway below. It wasn’t overly loud and would only affect very light sleepers (like me), and it was over by 23:00 anyway. In the cooler times of the day, we had the windows open to let air through, and there is no mechanism on any of them to stop them slamming shut in the breeze so we needed to improvise. There are two largish flights of stairs up to the apartment, but they are not too steep and certainly not as bad as a lot of places we stayed in. Not much bench space in bathroom. A full length mirror somewhere would be handy. But I would highly recommend this place and would definitely stay again if we get back to Orvieto.

Fantastic Location, clean, comfortable and value
The location was brilliant around the corner from the Duomo and surrounded by shops and restaurants. The street itself is picturesque and the views from just about every room are fantastic including the Duomo. The apartment is spacious, clean and very comfortable. The bathroom is a good size with a walk in shower with strong water pressure. The collection of the keys was straightforward and Roberta very helpful. There are a number of steps to climb to reach the apartment but an easy task. We can now understand why this apartment has a consistently top rating. Orvieto is a stunning destination and the views from Fortezza Albornoz are spectacular. The façade of the Duomo is one of the most attractive we have seen. A half day trip to Civita di bagnoregio is well worth the effort. The views are magnificent. Overall a great few days complimented by a fantastic apartment.
