Corfu Holiday Palace

We stayed at the corfu palace for1 night in transit from Paxos to our flights back to uk, we had a lovely view of the lake with spectacular views of the planes landing (which we couldn’t hear in our room) basically we had 24hrs there,we eat in the pool snack bar which was good, then we had a cable car down to private beach, which was lovely plenty of beds and a beach bar, early evening we had a superb meal in La veranda, absolute 5* with awesome views of mouse island, sunset and planes landing, staff fantastic, night drink in bar with Greece music, best way to end our holiday ! Also this hotel was designed in the early 70´s and even though it’s been renovated it still has that unique charm, grounds and garden beautiful.

The place is really nice having both swimming pool and access to the beach. Both are properly settled and not overcrowded.. Diner and breakfast at the buffet formulas was really ok and suitable for the full family

Outdated and in my view overpriced Our AC was hardly working and they didn’t really fix it although we called multiple times Maintenance Guy through some “chlorine” into the pool and told us to wait 30 min - well after 4h it hadn’t dissolved yet and left white stains on our skin and clothes and unfortunately reception didn’t care at all

The location is very good, the hotel and gardens are very good. The breakfast buffet was good and had a nice selection of food

We have stayed 3 times, this year we booked a suite with shared pool and have previously stayed in a family suite and the bungalows. This year it was a little disappointing as there were only 2 sun loungers with our room and we are a family of 4. When I asked if more could be provided I was not given a solution and the next morning our loungers had been moved to a grass bank opposite the pool where we could have to walk past everyone’s private terraces to get to them and also there were not enough for the number of guests staying in the hotel. I would not pay the premium price for this type of room again as we had to use the main pool area due to lack of loungers and accessing them. There was also a dreadful smell of drains coming from our ensuite at times which could be smelled from the bedroom.
