Corfu Holiday Palace

Our room was cleaned throughly every day, water was always restocked and hotel staff was very helpful and friendly. We loved our private pool and breakfast had such a lovely variety of options we could not have asked for more. Bus stop located right outside of the hotel takes your anywhere you need to go in Corfu all day. Convenience store right outside as well

The only thing worth mentioning is that the private suites are located directly under the breakfast hall balcony so when people are having their breakfast (starts at 7am) all the chairs being moved making such a loud noise you will wake up wether you want to or not. So if you like to sleep in then maybe don't book the private pool suites.

The property is quite large and been around since the 60s. Rooms were quite large and well laid out. Breakfast spread was very large and good. Highlight was Hotel had a fleet of cars so getting around was quick and easy. Highlight was the elevator from the hotel down to the beach ...that was unique. Our room was a bungalow suite and faced the bay while the main hotel building faced the sea.

The airport is literally located on that path of planes to the Corfu airport and so near , where we could see the end of the runway. So when plans taxied & get ready to take off, one could hear the engines quite loudly & also when planes landed. The bungalow's room while large did not have flushed French doors so sound was coming in when landing/takeoff, which happened quite frequently.

The bed. The easy access to the beach. Even the beach was not great. The bar was very good, all the time there was something going on. The breakfast was very good.

There was no place to park to de load. Our toilet was way too close to the sink in the standard room. No net at the balcony door. The shower design was not good, after showering there was always puddle outside. Not many lounge bed around the outdoor pool

The location is very good, the hotel and gardens are very good. The breakfast buffet was good and had a nice selection of food

We have stayed 3 times, this year we booked a suite with shared pool and have previously stayed in a family suite and the bungalows. This year it was a little disappointing as there were only 2 sun loungers with our room and we are a family of 4. When I asked if more could be provided I was not given a solution and the next morning our loungers had been moved to a grass bank opposite the pool where we could have to walk past everyone’s private terraces to get to them and also there were not enough for the number of guests staying in the hotel. I would not pay the premium price for this type of room again as we had to use the main pool area due to lack of loungers and accessing them. There was also a dreadful smell of drains coming from our ensuite at times which could be smelled from the bedroom.
