A delightful hotel with a charm that is sadly missing from more modern hotels.

The location of the Cavalieri hotel is perfect, right at the top of Liston with amazing views across to the fort and the Greek mainland. It has a gentle vibe with very respectful staff who accommodate your every need.

Certain aspects of the decor looked a bit dated and a refresh here and there would lift it.

Staff is very helpful, welcoming and friendly. Location of the hotel is very convenient and view of the room was amazing.

Still they give you a room key with a heavy keychain which you need to carry with you all day, and you afraid of losing it. Kind of nostalgic but I prefer a key card.

Pleasant hotel well located.

Lovely location right next to the park between the citadel and the Old Town. The retro vibe is worth noting and would appeal to some people.

Old-school, non-typical hotel for a short stay

As others mentioned in the comments, the hotel is quite old-fashioned. However, I still liked it, it’s suitable for a short trip. The room was unexpectedly two-story, clean, and cozy. There were toiletries, water, and tea available in the room, and it had air conditioning. The breakfast was average, with a limited selection, and by 10 a.m. many items were already gone. The hotel’s location near the promenade and the city center is very convenient.

Fabulous overall

The location is fabulous and the staff are lovely. The roof restaurant is simply wonderful, with breathtaking views all round, and very good food.

Fresh fruit at breakfast time would make a HUGE difference, instead of tinned! In the Mediterranean in the summer and autumn, we expect fresh, ripe melons, grapes, apples etc, cut up into a fruit salad. The uncut fruit that is on offer is as hard as rock. The muesli is unchewable. Generally, the breakfast is below par. But otherwise, the hotel is wonderful, the views from the front rooms are breathtaking, and the staff are lovely.

Un-suite was extremely small and not as clean as i would have expected. The carpet was not properly hoovered, previous clients hair on floor and dust under and around the dresser.

Adequate near the old town and fortress

This hotel was adequate for our needs. The location is great, very close to the old town and the fortress. Room is a decent size. Had good storage. AC worked well.

This place could use a makeover - everything is dated from the room décor to the furniture to the bathroom fixtures. The bed was okay. The bathroom was fine but everything looked like it was from the 1970s or earlier. The breakfast was not great - hard to reach the food from the crowded tables, lots of stuff was out. Staff at the breakfast are gruff and unfriendly. Front desk staff were more friendly.

Great location, great roof top bar.

Great location and the roof top bar is well worth a visit as the views are amazing. Good size family room for 3 people. We were able to leave our luggage until our flight. Very helpful staff. Hotel was fine for one night in Corfu Old Town.

The hotel has a musty smoky smell and whilst the room was clean, the communal areas could be cleaner. The shower was hot but not powerful.

Receptionist kept saying we could book in early and to come back at 12, we came back and then she said one, we went and came back at one and waited another 40 mins. We could have just left our bags and come back at 3 but with the possibility of early access we were coming back and forth! Frustrating but a lovely hotel

Breakfast was great, but the dining room was too small to accommodate the number of people needing breakfast. The sitting room next door which was hardly used would make a suitable extension to the dining room.

The lift was small and claustrophobic. But climbing the stairs to the fabulous rooftop restaurant was good exercise

Roof “garden” doesn’t open until 6.30 and it is not a garden , it is a bar and dining area with a few potted plants. Overpriced food and drink. Breakfast in a dingy room and an odd offering, tinned fruit and overcooked eggs at 8 am? The island has wonderful fresh fruit so why the tinned product? The A/C in our room was very inefficient and did not cool the room as it should.

We loved the older style of the hotel. The internal decor was tasteful and elegant. Fabulous location close to cafes, shops. The park opposite the hotel was relaxing and cool under the many trees.

Our room didn’t have air conditioning or a balcony. But we did enjoy the view over the rooftops of Old Corfu town, the pigeons and the swallows circling.
