really beautiful stay in the mountains, with views, spa and great breakfast

Nestled in the mountains, we had the most amazing views! our room had 180 degrees views of the mountains, a great terrace with lounge chairs, and so peaceful - best sleep I've had in years. The spa looks small but actually has everything - pool, infrared sauna, regular sauna, steambath. The pool is actually open 24/7, the infrared sauna also, the other saunas from the afternoon onwards. The breakfast was not only rich in choice, but had the products of the highest quality - local butter, smoked salmon, bavarian breakfast wurst - really tasty and enjoyable. the staff was very helpful, and and everything was very clean - probably the cleanest hotel I have ever seen.

It was very strange that there was no fridge in the room, the restaurants close very early in Germany (this one also at 8.30 pm) so it would have been quite useful.

Great hotel at the foot of Nebelhorn

The entire breakfast arrangement, the staff, the fact that the cable Car ticket was included in the price, the spa area generally speaking. The smell of meadow outside the hotel.

The spa facilities could do with a bit of a renovation. The electric charger is time limited and extremely slow

Pleasant

Great location. Definitely the place where you would love to stay with your family and enjoy the quiet surroundings. The lady at the reception was nice and helped us with warming baby food which was pleasant for us. Thank you!

Food in general. The croissants at breakfast were really bad every single day. We had dinner at the "restaurant" and we think it would have been better if we had ordered from another place. They should work on the menu.

A lovely weekend away in Allgäu.

The room was very spacious and comfortable and the staff were lovely. The breakfast buffet was also great. The gondolas were also free for us as hotel guests.

Spacious room with a balcony and a breathtaking view! The staff in the reception are very nice and helpful ! Nice swimming pool. We got cards to have reductions and free cable car rides.

The staff in the restaurant aren’t very nice.Every morning we have to wait for them to show us our table due to corona (which is completely fine),however they walked by us a couple of times, saw us waiting and we were ignored for more than 5 minutes! The parking is most of the times full if you arrive late you may not get a spot.

Wir waren als Familie mit vier Erwachsenen drei Nächte hier und würden jederzeit wieder kommen.

Vielseitige Auswahl am Frühstücksbüffet. Leere Behälter wurden umgehend aufgefüllt. Das Gänge-Menü am Abend war sehr schmackhaft und liebevoll zubereitet. Die Portionen waren reichlich.

Die Cocktails an der Bar und die Saftschorlen im Restaurant waren sehr mit Wasser verdünnt.

Potenzial leider nicht genutzt

Das Hotel liegt ruhig und ist trotzdem ein guter Ausgangspunkt für Wanderungen und Ausflüge. Oberstdorf ist in etwa 45min zu Fuß zu erreichen, oder mit dem Bus / Auto in wenigen Minuten. Die Söllereckbahn ist nur einen kurzen (aber steilen) Weg entfernt. Ca. 5min zu Fuß. Besonders positiv würde ich die Küche hervorheben. Hier merkt man, dass das Personal vom Fach ist. Das Frühstück und auch das Abendessen war geschmacklich wirklich gut und zudem preislich in einem üblichen Rahmen.

Eigentlich hat das Hotel viel Potential, was allerdings aus unserer Sicht bei unserem Aufenthalt nicht genutzt wurde. Es sind viele Dinge die zusammenkommen und die meiner Meinung nach die Kriterien eines 4 Sterne Hotels in Summe nicht erfüllen. Ich liste einige der Kritikpunkte auf: - unser Zimmer hatte an 2 von 3 Tagen kein warmes Wasser. Es wurde zwar unmittelbar danach geschaut, allerdings hielt die Lösung nur eine Dusche lang, danach kam wieder nur kaltes Wasser (offenbar hatte man vergessen nach Arbeiten an den Leitungen unsere Zuleitung ganz aufzudrehen, dadurch kam auch die ersten Minuten nur „braunes Wasser“ aus den Leitungen…) - im Bad gab es kein Shampoo und keine Lotion. Das ist sogar in 3 Sternehotels Standard - die Bedienung im Restaurant hat mehrfach Bestellungen vergessen. Bspw. einmal die Beilagen nicht gebracht (und war auch 20min nicht mehr am Tisch, so dass das Essen ohne Beilagen gegessen wurde), unser Nebensitzer hat Bier bekommen, das laut Etikett 6 Monate abgelaufen war, die Bedingung wusste nicht, wie man eine Weinflasche mit Korken öffnet und hat diesen abgebrochen („die anderen haben alle Schraubverschlüsse“),… die Liste lässt sich fortführen. - von den 3 Saunen im Haus waren 2 defekt. Erst nach mehrmaliger Beschwerde wurde eine zweite Sauna doch noch repariert und angeschalten - beim Auschecken war die Rezeption leider ziemlich unfreundlich, sowohl zum Kunden vor uns, als auch zu uns. Daran ändert auch der geringe Preisnachlass nichts, den wir aufgrund der Wasserprobleme bekommen haben Alles Dinge, über die man vielleicht hinwegsehen würde, wenn es Einzelfälle wären. Nur leider haben wir derlei ständig erlebt und auch von anderen Gästen mitbekommen. Bei einem Preis von ~185€ pro Nacht muss man einfach einen anderen Standard erfüllen. Da bekomme ich andernorts mehr für diesen Preis.

Ein toller Urlaub!

Das Frühstück war sehr gut. Besonders hat uns gefallen, daß wir immer einen festen Platz hatten. In ca. 5 Minuten war eine Bushaltestelle. Mit der Walser-Card konnten wir den Bus und auch z. B. die Nebelhornbahn kostenlos nutzen.

Das Frühstücksbuffet war super , alles reichlich vorhanden ! Das Restaurant war auch vortrefflich! Bedienung sehr freundlich ! Essen schmackhaft und reichlich ! Die Bar war auch sehr gut! Bier schmeckt egal wo man gerade ist im Allgäu !

Uns hat ein wenig die Aussicht auf die Berge gefehlt vom Balkon aus , wir hatten nur den Ausblick auf Gebüsch und Straße vorm Hotel ! Aber zum Glück konnten wir mit dem Auto wegfahren um uns an den Bergen sattzusehen!

Het zwembad, de ruime hotelkamer met prachtig uitzicht en de sfeer.

Er mag gerookt worden op get terras. We konden tijdens ins diner in het restaurant de rook ruiken van de personen die aan de tafel op het terras naast onze tafel in het restaurant zaten. Jammer van het lekkere eten.

Gesamtpaket zum wohlfühlen

Allgäu-Walser-Card ist inclusive. Die Zimmer sind sehr schön, das Personal ist sehr freundlich und zuvorkommend. Das Frühstück ist vielfältig. Es gab alles was ich mit zum Frühstück gewünscht hätte.

Ein wunderbares Hotel mitten im Wald und nur 7 Minuten vom Hauptort entfernt.

Das Hotel liegt etwa 7 Autominuten von Oberstdorf entfernt, eingebettet in eine Waldlandschaft. Das Hotelpersonal ist sehr freundlich, so dass man selbst bei einem Aufenthalt von einer Nacht das Gefühl von Vertrautheit hatte. Die Zimmer sind gut ausgestattet, sehr sauber und haben viel Licht (ich bin schon älter, deshalb ist das für mich wichtig). Das Frühstück war wirklich toll und die Auswahl an Speisen war sehr groß. Egal, wie groß der Appetit oder die Vorliebe für bestimmte Speisen war, es war für jeden etwas dabei. Das Innere des Hotelrestaurants ist hell, sauber und funktional. Wenn du es betrittst, bekommst du sofort das Gefühl, dass es gut organisiert ist. Das Personal ist sehr freundlich, macht seine Runde, um zu sehen, ob alles in Ordnung ist, und macht dir Vorschläge, was dir gefallen könnte. Sie sind nicht aufdringlich und versuchen nicht, dir etwas aufzudrängen, aber man bekommt das Gefühl, dass sie dir ehrliche Vorschläge machen, was ich erfrischend fand. Das Restaurant hat auch Sitzplätze im Freien, die sehr bequem sind. Alles in allem ist dies ein Ort, an den ich bei meinem nächsten Besuch in Oberstdorf zurückkehren werde.
