Nice to be in Liverpool

No lock on bathroom door - broken lock needs mending. Bathroom needs attention grouting etc I made the mistake of picking the back bedroom where I slept badly as the bed was - for me anyway - desperately hard. Also a neighbour kept a bright light on all night which shone through a gap in the blinds. New blinds or re-fitting them would help. Two radiators didn't work. Need attention and/or bleeding. To be fair, the two other bedrooms were absolutely fine - rather nice. The kitchen was well equipped and the sitting room was cosy and very comfortable. But I am surprised this house - although pleasant - won an award!

Was confused by the entrance as I thought it would be the photo on Booking.com but I think that must be local pub! It didn’t matter though as house was great.

Pleasant family accommodation

It was a homely place and comfortable. The cooking facilities were good especially as we had a young child with us. Good to find plenty of coffee and tea facilities too. We were close to Sefton Park which was where we were going for a family wedding. The street was nice and quiet and it was ideal that we could park the car outside the house and feel it was safe. Beds were all comfortable. I would be happy to return to stay at this house.

There was nothing we didn't like but some suggestions for how our stay would have been improved. On our first night we had dinner in the house and found that there was not enough cutlery for all of us, Fortunately I had our picnic bag with us so could use the cutlery from there. Another suggestion would be to have the use of an iron. I would have preferred to have been able to press my outfit for the wedding.

Perfect Stay near Sefton Park

We absolutely loved the location. We were really close to both Sefton Park and Festival Gardens. Perfect place to walk around in the autumn leaves. We were also in walking distance of Lark Lane with independent shops and restaurants - we went twice during our stay. There is a easy access bus into town which takes about 20 mins. Free parking outside on the street was perfect too. The house itself was clean and had everything we needed. There was a full kitchen with everything you would need to cook a full meal. We made breakfasts each morning. In the evenings, we chilled on the comfy sofa. The TV had all the apps you could want. There was a dining table if you wanted to eat a proper dinner. The shower was warm and we even had a selection of toiletries to use, didn't need to use our own! The bathroom was very clean, towels lovely and cosy. The beds! Oh the beds were so comfortable! It was hard to get up in the mornings and luckily we didn't have to! Thank you so much for a perfect stay - just what we needed.

A house needing wholesale redecoration/refurbishment - but a nice host

The host was lovely and very responsive and quickly brought us a clean washing up sponge ( there was only an old one there when we arrived) , some paper kitchen towel ( none there) and additional cloth kitchen towels and toilet paper when I asked. The place was clean The heating was easy to use The place/road was quiet The beds were comfortable There was a big TV ( if that is important)

The location was ok but not brilliant - quite far from shops and buses ( 10 mins walk each way) - Larch road was more like 15-20 mins walk, Albert Dock 35-45 mins by bus The photos are misleading - they give the impression of a lovely interior by being very selective - whilst there were some nice touches, the place needs wholesale redecoration ( two double bedrooms not too bad apart from damp patch in one) and maintenance - The carpets are pretty old The single bedroom ( as well as one double) had damp patches ( altho we were told these were no longer damp/causing a health and safety risk- only needing redecoration) - The single bedroom was really small ( no space to hang up or store any clothes) and grotty looking, not helped by the fact that the blind ( a rather flimsy push up/pull down paper blind) could not be put up, so it was dark at all times- whilst the host was again responsive and said she could arrange maintenance to come round, this could not happen until the Monday ( we arrived Saturday and were leaving Tuesday am) - so we left it ( hopefully will be done before let again). The bathroom has not been updated for many years and the shower was very low pressure and ran hot and cold ( cycling between the two) or just stopped flowing if someone was running a tap downstairs The bathroom had no lock The radiators in two of the bedrooms did not work- it was reasonably warm whilst we were there so could be put up with. There were various plywood panels in the downstairs rooms which were generally a bit dark and uninviting. In short the flat looked more like student accommodation than a property being let at over £150/ night . It was made worse by the fact that we were three single people and needed to use the 3 bedrooms and the single room was wholly unsatisfactory- We all travel quite a bit /stay in many different places inlc thro booking.com and this place fell significantly below the usual standard -

Quiet location which was great for us, very comfortable and clean with everything needed for a home away from home, would highly recommend.

It is a spacious property with great facilities and had shampoo, conditioner, moisturiser and deodorant in the bathroom, which was a nice touch! Great location near Lark Lane and festival gardens - would definitely stay again.

Relaxing place in nice neighbourhood

Relaxing lounge environment. Comfy sofas. Very hot when we visited so it was nice to have the back doors thrown open. The two main bedrooms had lovely decor and really confy beds. Kitchen was well equipped. Free on street parking right outside the house.

Steep stairs which if it had been mentioned in the listing, we wouldn't have booked due to mobility issues. It was only mentioned in a confirmation message after the booking was made. It was a lovely place in many ways. Just a few small issues as follows. Water stains on the wall and ceiling in the smallest bedroom look tatty. .Broken lock on bathroom door which was an issue as I was there with a colleague rather than with family. Shower wasn't great as the temperature kept flitting between hot and cold. No tea towels, but helpful host kindly brought some to us when requested.

Our weekend stay in Liverpool

Absolutely lovely victorian property in a perfect location 10 minutes away from The Albert docks Liverpool.. Two beautiful size double bedrooms and single bedroom , double wardrobes in the back double bedroom . The victorisn property was fitted. Throughout nostalgia, large green pants , bookshelves, comfortable seating, and large dining room with seating for up to 6 . A lovely private courtyard is lovely on a summer day with a glass of wine . Now, to the owner, keyla is exceptional from the first contact, giving us places to visit nearby to get back to us anytime we messaged her. What a truly wonderful lady making our weekend stay even more special . Thank you so much, Keyla xxx Will definitely be back for a friends wedding in September Kind regards James & Maxine x

A beautiful home with extra comfortable beds. The house was very clean and spacious. Communication with Julian and Keyla was excellent and they were super helpful. There is parking on the street for free. The neighborhood was very peaceful and only a short drive from the city centre.

Quirky little house a short walk from Lark Lane and Sefton Park. Nice quiet location, really helpful hosts who were very quick at replying to any queries we had. Two double rooms and one single perfect for a family stay or two couples. Will definitely stay again!

Home away from home

We had such a wonderful experience at this home. It's so beautiful, pics do it justice. The layout was very similar to our home in London, so the kids had no problem navigating around. The customer care was 2nd to none, fantastic communication. Would highly recommend 👌🏾 and would stay here again.

Property needs some redecoration and mattresses/pillows could do with being upgraded. Small bedroom needs some attention and some of the kitchen items were not cleaned properly.

Really liked the house and the bedrooms. Convenient, quiet location with street parking. The house was clean and well equipped. I was staying with 2 old school friends. We all grew up in the area so know Liverpool well. The host was helpful. Gorgeous house plants.

It was great to be able to phone the host when the pin code I was given was not the correct one so I initially couldn't open the lock box to get the keys. The door was stiff to open and close and we had to use the main lock rather than the yale key. We couldn't work out how to get wifi (we could have called the host but were out most of the time so this was only a minor inconvenience). One of those information books on the house/area might have been helpful (we didn't need so much as we are locals ourselves but others might have valued advice on taxis etc). It would be great to have some better wine glasses.

Lovely period property and great value for money!

The house is in a good location for visiting either Liverpool City or the more local area of Aigburth, with Sefton Park and the restaurants and bars in Lark Lane. We stayed for four days, visiting relatives close by. I choose this house particularly because I liked the style of decoration and furnishings. I loved the house plants - you don't often see these in holiday lets. The kitchen was well-equipped and everything worked which was a bonus!

Difficult to find fault but if the owner wanted to add some oven gloves in the kitchen and leave some information out about wi fi passwords (we found it in the end) then that would be great.

House is beautiful, very clean and homely. Perfect location, as you've got public transport at the top of the street and everything is local to this accommodation. Beds are comfortable and very clean. The host is very pleasant and easy contactable. Price is very reasonable, and affordable. 100% recommend.

Lovely stay in an excellent accomodation, hosted by a great host!

The place was clean, comfortable, very-well-equipped and is situated in a very good neighbourhood of a lovely city. Julian was a great host - very responsive even when we had an issue with the key to the house after we locked ourselves out.
