Rose Cottage AtTheDairyShed

We stayed in Granny’s Cottage, since Rose Cottage was being renovated after a recent storm. Granny’s Cottage is beautifully decorated, and the kitchen is equipped with everything you could possibly need. The stoep is a real kuierstoep, with a glorious view and a huge braai. David and Bernadine are excellent hosts, and if mountain biking is your thing, David can tell you all about the most scenic routes in the area. The cottage is located in such a beautiful part of the country; we drove the Gysmanshoek pass and marvelled at the proteas and ericas on display. We throughly enjoyed our stay, and were sad to leave, but we’ll definitely be back.

The Rose Cottage is located 12 km away from Heidelberg, reachable on a good gravelled road and placed in a rural area with phantastic views. This self-catering cottage is fully equipped, has comfy beds, en-suite bathrooms and a nice shady stoep. The owner lady is a lovely person, always reachable and giving you a lot of ideas how to spend your day. A perfect peaceful location to spend some relaxing days

Stunning views, clean property. The hostess had everything you needed, from spare blankets coffee, milk and eggs. Friendly loved the walk overall an exceptional stay

Only criticism is the wifi its the only means of communicating with the outside world as the signal is bad. A small ups that cost very little would keep at least that up during load shedding.

EVERYTHING!!!!! Words cannot describe this place. Only experience will give you all the answers.

It was very cold inside. So we bought a fan heater from the Agri Co-op and that was perfect to warm the bedroom prior to us going to sleep. (But it was winter)
