Strawberry Hill Farm

The atmosphere of the traditional farm house was lovely and relaxing for a family celebration. The setting in the forest and next to the reserve entrance was so relaxing and beautiful.

One has to accommodate wild animals when in nature and therefore be aware of the baboons, monkeys, scorpions, etc. Come prepared and close windows and doors when not in use.

Quiet farm accommodation, exactly what we were looking for. Good quality linen and towels and very comfy king size bed Everything you needed in the kitchen. Aileen a mine of information on the surrounding mountains and walks.

Beautiful area in a nature conservancy where excellent work is being done

We like the great communication that we received leading up until we arrived at the accommodation. We also liked that the firewood was set out for us in advance and there was a fireplace in the living room which was a much needed as we were there the middle of winter. The kitchen had all that you need and the bathroom was spacious. The surrounding area is stunning and the views are out of this world.

Unfortunately it was extremely cold as we went in winter and the blanket provided was very thin so we had a very cold night. I asked the host if we should bring blankets beforehand and she insisted not to bring. So we trusted her but sadly we should have brought our own as it was very cold and we struggled to sleep. It would have been helpful to have thicker blankets or at least carpet the bedroom as the concrete flooring did not help insulate the cottage from the very cold weather.
