Beautiful place

Beautiful room - booked last moment for work. Quite expensive but in a very beautiful and clean house/ hotel, the garden is lovely and the balcony to the room offered a beautiful view. The staff was very helpful!

There are beautiful architectural elements in the building. The room and bathroom are comfortable, clean and modern. The living room and garden are beautiful. The kitchen well equipped and accomodating.

Please note: There’s no staff manning the property or reception after 5pm. No staff was in the property when I left at 8.30am. When I arrived there were young male guests loitering around the building, leaving the front door and the back door to the garden opened (in winter) with lots of empty bottles strewn around the living room. They were also in shorts and flip flops, with cigarettes in their hands. The whole staircase stank of cigarettes. The guests also came in and out throughout the night with loud shutting of the doors between 1am and 3am.

Fantastic historical building, Belle Epoque Era. Like staying in a museum. Lounge is the old Grand Room Where state dinners were held. You can even book a room with your OWN spa. And the garden…AMAZING!

Plesant stay, helpful staff and a lovely room

The room was very grand and bathroom attached was modern and well kept. We only saw staff on the day we arrived and not again after that. But the person who greeted us was nice and welcoming and even sorted our room out 2.5 hours before check in.

Not easy to find at first apart for some plants outside. Also greeted with a cracked window which makes you question the area. Walls seem to be quite thin. We could hear a lot of footsteps and talking from above. The hotel was more like a grand B&B without the breakfast and unfortunately there’s not much around the near vicinity.

Nice hotel for a short stay, a bit away from the center

Old style hotel that is nice but needs a bit of refurbishment. Nice, big room and a very good bathroom. Clean. Comfortable bed. Nice atmosphere of the past days in common rooms…

Location is not the best - quite far away from the center of Brussels (20-25 min walk). Could not get any TV program.

Spacious rooms with interesting history and unique design of the home.

Location was not the most convenient as it was in a quiet neighborhood and quite expensive which is unfortunately the norm for that location for our booking dates.

Great stay with super spacious room & toilet, but a little dodgy location at night

The room is amazing - super spacious, clean and well decorated! You feel like a royal staying there, though again, when I checked-in at night, the whole place seemed a bit scary without much lighting until I arrived in my room. The check-in process was smooth with the message /email from the hotel, you just need to tell your name to the bell (no staff on site btw!) and key in your code at the box to retrieve the key. The check out process was very easy by dropping the key in the box, and you can drop your bag after checkout and come back to take it. Even though there is no staff on the ground, they are quite prompt in answering the bell/call so it was smooth.

The location was convenient to arrive from train station by public transport, but the street is very quiet so it was a little scary for me to walk alone. There were few men walking by looking at me pulling a big hand luggage so I didn't feel very safe. However during the day the street was fine and clean.

The aesthetics was awesome, and the size of our apartment was great (apt #284). Staff was super nice! Breakfast was very good, and had all you needed.

More consideration needs to be given to the functionality of the apartment. As example a coat hanger and a dresser would have been helpful.

An unforgettable experience! There is no place we would have rather stayed - keen to visit again.

Exceptional atmosphere; an amazing opportunity to touch history. Elegant interiors and a beautiful garden. Small number of rooms and a very personal touch from the host (very welcoming and friendly, extremely responsive to queries over the phone). The property was only a short walk from the city centre. Peaceful and quiet, away from touristy hot spots.

We lacked clothes storage in our room (a wardrobe / shelves), but this was not a big issue since we were only there for a few days. Other rooms do seem to have such storage.

Disappointing

Nice building, in a nice central location

It is presented as a hotel, but in reality a B&B, without breakfast included (breakfast can be ordered, at a cost of 19Euro/person)! We did not see any staff during our two nights stay. Only communicated via messages, in French (even if I several times ask to be written in English). The room was not cleaned during our stay.

Exceptional

This was really an interesting place. Not what I expected, and since I was travelling on business, came late evening, left early morning, I could not enjoy what this place offers. Nice large apartment, with a bit chaotic layout due to limitations of the historical building. Comfortable beds, large comfortable shower and bathroom. Big surprise was large, stylish, and comfortable shared area, including garden, plus very well equipped large kitchen. If I decide to spend a couple of days in Brussels, and have time to prepare my own breakfast, and relax in chair or in the garden, this would be my choice.

Bathroom and WC can be accessed only via master bedroom. Narrow staircase - may be issue with large luggage. The area does not have much infrastructure (groceries, bars), except for arab groceries, with sortiment limitations this brinks, but you can easily cross into the city center and have more stuff available in less than 1km.

The stuff was very helpful and waited for me till late in the evening. The room is big and clean, you have everything there what you need. The house itself is beautiful. The hotel is about 10-15 minutes walk from the historical centre, and about 25 minutes walk from the European district, what is very convenient.
