Expected better!

The house was nice, beds comfy. . Location was great.

A few issues we had, the house really wasn't very clean, a lot of dust and cobwebs. Could do with newer pots and pans in the kitchen, the current ones are, rusty, scratched, or handles falling off. Recommend to take night lights as there are no lamps in the bedrooms, and the light in the dining room didn't work at all. If you're like me and like more than one pillow then make sure to take your own, and be careful when in the hallway, as the floor boards are all loose and move about. Shower has no pressure. And lastly there is nowhere close at all to park a second car as all the roads are permit only.

Great Experience

We had a truly wonderful stay at Bath City Skyline Spacious 3 Bed House. My family and I felt at home from the moment we arrived. The house is incredibly spacious, beautifully presented, and perfect for a family stay. The views are absolutely gorgeous from the master bedroom, waking up and looking out over Bath was a real highlight for us. The property had all the amenities we needed, making our stay comfortable and relaxing throughout. Everything was clean, well-maintained, and thoughtfully set up. Overall, it was a fantastic stay in a stunning location, and we wouldn’t hesitate to recommend it to families or groups looking for comfort, space, and beautiful views. We’d happily stay again!

A couple of small points for improvement: toothpaste wasn’t provided, so future guests may want to bring their own. Also, the parking space is a bit narrow for an SUV, it definitely takes a bit of talent to park there, but I managed it just fine!

Our stay at Minster Way.

Instructions on how to get into the house were very clear. The house was warm when we arrived and stayed warm throughout our stay. Bedding and towels smelt very clean. Lovely big bed in main bedroom.

The floorboards were very creaky and doors rattled in the wind(mainly second double bedroom) which meant we didn't get much sleep which was a shame. Couldn't use the oven correctly because pictures had worn away on the knob and didn't know what I was using. Not enough cutlery for 5 people. Just a suggestion....Would be nice to have a little lamp in the front room for cosiness instead of using big light(personal preference,no biggy) Overall,good value for the money we paid.

Ok, but needs work.

The house is very spacious. The beds are comfortable. Great location. The furniture is nice. Sky TV and Internet

The gardens are overgrown and untidy. The kitchen cleanliness isnt suitable to cook or use. Mould and mildew growing on windowsills. Towel rail in bathroom is thick with dust. The towels provided are dirty. I didnt get a message, as stated in my booking, of the details to get access to the property, or the exact location/number of the property. Details were due to come in the morning of the check-in. Despite numerous phone calls and answerphone messages, the details didn't come through until an hour after our book in time. (The owner of the property lives in China apparently, according to neighbours). Could be a beautiful b'n'b but i certainly wont return. Needs a good lick of paint and a deep clean.

Quiet location and spacious rooms.

It was dirty, including the kitchenware. Not enough kitchenware, either. Old food left in kitchen. Seemed that it hadn’t been cleaned. Overgrown garden. Some mismatched furniture and decoration. No wood for the wood burner, either.

Extremely Disappointing Stay - Not Worth The Money.

The property is in a great location.

We were deeply disappointed with this property. The house was clearly not cleaned before our arrival. The toilets were filthy, the kitchen was dusty and covered in limescale, and the overall hygiene was unacceptable. It felt neglected and unhygienic from the moment we walked in. The photos on booking.com are very deceptive. Had we not arrived late at night, we would have left immediately. Unfortunately, we had no choice but to stay the night, but it was a total waste of money. This property does not meet the standards expected on Booking.com, and I would strongly advise others to avoid it.

“Another wonderful stay — felt just like home!

This was my second time staying in this beautiful house. Flexi always makes everything easy, with excellent communication throughout. The house truly feels like a home away from home. It’s just 20 minutes away and conveniently located near the city centre and the University of Bath. I had a wonderful experience again and would definitely love to book it in the future.

Location was very good

The upkeep of the house was appalling,we have taken several pictures ,oven disgusting , garden were unkept so overgrown could not see out of lounge window, paint all scratched, Childrens crayons all over wall, poor selection of cups and plates that were not chipped in kitchen ,toaster disgusting, towel rail in bathroom rusty and covered in dust. We could not get in till 3 pm because of cleaning, what cleaning.

I was concerned that the kitchen sink tap had a leaky faucet and I had to buy a side table lamp for the bedroom. Then were no small portable lights anywhere as the bedroom overhead lights didn’t work.

house is spacious as advertised, big living room and bedrooms! main br has a good view of the city. really good location 20mins normal walk to the city of bath.

the parking area was steep our car struggled at first then next what we did was to unload all our stuff took the car out and load it back again. a bit of a hassle especially if you have a baby. window was moldy and linens smells like they didnt get washed properly

Pleasant

The location was good as it was close enough to the town to walk but the back (main bedroom) was noisy with traffic. It was spacious and in a nice street. The satellite TV was great and the wifi was good.

Overall the house could have been cleaner; the floors, skirting and table surfaces were dirty and dusty and the washing machine was full of a grimy residue in the door seals and the soap dispenser. There was no can opener in the kitchen and there was no large saucepan for cooking pasta. The linen was barely adequate - thin towels and only one per person, no hand towels or towelling mat for the shower but a shaggy bath mat with dubious cleanliness. The driveway is so tight that unless you have a toy car it's unusable and street parking is not an option due to parking restrictions. If you do manage to get the car in you won't be able to get out of the car. This is quite a problem. We would have appreciated some basic instructions on how to use the heating and shower and some welcoming information on the area such as the bus number to/from town. A small welcome offering such as a tea bag/coffee/milk would have been a nice gesture.

Great location, could be an amazing house if some money was spent on some essential renovations & had a better clean

The location was great and it had off road parking (the incline mentioned in previous reviews wasn’t an issue for us). The beds were very comfortable and clean, sofa and dining furniture was very comfortable. The owner was very communicative & answered my questions promptly. It was ok for one night.

The house was very dusty under the beds and blinds and the blind in the small bedroom didn’t close properly. The flooring in the hall had been poorly laid and stuck up in places, we found the oven would only grill as icons had rubbed off but that may have been user error. The bathroom was old & tired but the shower did work fine.

Review of stay

The Space inside the house is good. The sofa and beds were OK comfort wise. 20 min walk into Bath. We didn't use the buses but the bus stop is not far from property either, just not frequent, so check timetable.

When we 1st got to the property, the number wasn't on the door but worked out pretty quickly it was that house. It's permit only on the road, and the parking for my normal size focus was so tight and steep it was kind of scary getting in the space, I had to reverse into the tight space as no chance of reversing up a very steep verge. This house is not for people with mobility issues. The front garden was so overgrown that there wasn't a lot of room or space to get your things out of the car and into the house. Inside wasn't the cleanest either, there was wet towels behind the 2nd bedroom door which were left from the last person that stayed. The sitting room window on to the back garden was looking out on to a huge overgrown plant/Bush. The photos that are taken by the owner on booking.com had curtains closed and no photo of the front of the property, I now know why. It advertises a garden, but this is overgrown and unusable. If it isn't in a state where you can use the open space, it shouldn't advertise a garden.

Filthy

Location and beds

It was filthy!! I have never stayed in a house/ hotel that was so dirty. Hairs (over 15) in the tube, pubic hair on the toilet, dirt on the bathroom walls, filthy carpet in the bathroom. There was even poop in the toilet downstairs. The kitchen was dirty, fridge full of dirt. I would never recommend anyone stay there. I had to clean all these areas before I could let my family use them. We left the house cleaner then how we got it! Not fair if you rent a place and just had a 12 hr flight and 2 hrs drive. Worse booking. Com experience ever!

Very poor

Very dirty - the place was not properly cleaned or prepared. It wasn't clear if the towels and linen were fresh as one of the rooms seemed occupied. The steep driveway is so narrow that many cars won't fit (or could be driven off the edge) which is an issue as street parking is not allowed. The property would benefit from owner oversight.

Pleasant

The property itself was pleasant enough and well located for Bath. The parking was however really tricky. We were told on the day that parking was available on a hard standing at the side of the property and there was no on street parking due to permits. When we arrived it took us about 20 minutes to get into the drive as it was so narrow and had a drop to one side. We then had to squeeze alongside the car to get to the house as the front garden was completely overgrown and had no access to the property. It would be extremely difficult to get to the house with young children or people with mobility issues. We had no choice but to park on the drive due to the roads being permit only. The back garden was similarly overgrown.

The bathroom is full of mould, The driveway was incredibly small and steep, very tricky to get in and out of, The microwave and oven both need a clean, Incredibly dusty underneath the beds, with bug clumps of dust under all. I needed to vacuum and clean them myself, The back garden is so overgrown there’s no way you could sit outside to enjoy it, The house had a faint smell of mouse, which also ruined the experience. So disappointed.

Very spacious and well appointed house with updated bathrooms and kitchen. Nice views in a quiet neighborhood but very accessible from main road. Water was hot and plentiful for showers.

Air conditioning would have been a plus with the warm weather but afternoon breezes kept inside temperatures mild. The narrow sloped driveway presented a challenge to our mid-sized car and driver.

This was a spacious property, convenient for walking into Bath and to the university.

At the moment, the hedge is overgrown and makes the drive narrow. We understand from the owner that he is going to remedy this, and also widen the drive. If you have a large or wide car, it would be very difficult, but this will be sorted.

Host did not respond to my texts. Disgustingly dusty under the beds. Not enough towels provided and no tumble to dry wet towels etc. Antiquated shower that run hot and cold while in use. No information about Bath, what to do or best places to eat etc. Outside bins at the property full and driveway very narrow. All minor issues that add up to make staying at the property a little uncomfortable especially as guests pay a £50 cleaning surcharge. Issues can so easily be rectified by the owners.
