2 bedroom house walking distance to city centre WITH FREE PARKING

Nice clean house with good facilities in a great location for my needs. It was a very pleasant place to stay. Finding the property and getting in was really easy. The host's communications were good and friendly.

Overall it was great. I just booked for one and found the second bedroom locked which is always disconcerting when you're staying on your own. 'though I understand the reasoning to keep it clean.

The property was located about 10/15 mins from the walmgate city walls entrance, making it a quick walk to experience the history of York. From there it is a further 15/20 mins walk into York in which you pass many amazing pubs, eateries and small businesses! Near to the house is takeaway locations, though we didn’t use any we made great use of local shops close to the property for bits. The location of the property meant you were away from the hustle and bustle of York for your evening and had the option to enter York at a moments notice! The house itself was incredibly clean and well presented, featuring a full kitchen with cooking implements and a beautifully presented bedroom which was spacious whilst being cosy. The bedroom offer a view of a local church with an impressive clock tower. Allowing for the sense of York truly being on your doorstep. The bathroom was clean and the living space was spacious with comfortable seating and a dining table. The parking space on this property was a no brainer for us meaning we could safely and cheaply park our car and not pay the egregiously expensive parking fees in York. Could not recommend more! We loved our stay and hope to come back again!

At times the WiFi was a little choppy on the first two nights meaning watching certain things on the telly became difficult however we then moved to watching daytime tv shows which did not affect it at all. WiFi usage on our phones were fine and not noticeably affected.

A very easy walk into town, with lots of restaurants on Walmgate (the road in). The property was clean and tidy. The beds were very comfortable. Having a parking space was excellent.

House was extremely clean, bedrooms were beautifully decorated , the owner was easy to get hold of

Unfortunately for the 2 nights I was there we had music very loud in the area all evening until about 10.30, this ruined my evenings as I like to get in bed and relax and it was frustrating, I read the previous reviews before booking and most said quiet location so was a little disappointed I didn't get that experience, the city is a walk but to get into the centre of all the shops it's definitely longer then 10 minutes. The house was beautiful just wish the bedrooms had a tv so you could relax better in the evenings.
