This was a well equipped property well suited to my needs for a quiet family gathering. 10mins walk from the beach and well equiped. A little unclear in description that property is on two levels. The main level has 3 rooms and living space. Lower level accessed from outside or though utility room is self contained with bedroom and small living area with sofa bed and kitchen sink. I found this setup quite suited my group.

Great property , located up the hill from the town within easy walking distance . Clean accommodation and a lovely property, ideal for our base for travelling to Bayeux , Caen, etc. Christophe very helpful and quick to respond to any questions. Our stay was great. The house was even bigger than expected, nice bedrooms for everybody in our group of 7, great long dinnertable, a perfect accomidation for a bigger group or family. With enough bad- and bathrooms too. And perfectly clean and well equipped. Location near the landing beaches and easy walk to the beach in arromanches and the stores and bakery. It was everything we were looking for.

The property owner did a good job responding to my queries. Unfortunately, I would have to rate this as a sub-par stay. Not enough towels were available and quality was substandard. Little things like kleenex not provided were bothersome. Possibly some mold present in bathrooms. Glass ware appeared stained and dishes required washing before we felt comfortable using. On the plus side the location was great for what we wanted.

The town of Arromanches-Les-Bains was amazing. We learned about the history of the town thru locals. Their part in D Day was new to me. It was easy to find the house the Taxi brought us right there. There was a lock box and we had the code so entry was easy. The house was not as clean as what I like. The utensils and coffee maker were not clean but we used them. There were limited towels left and I managed to find additional ones in the basement again they were not that clean. We had a major issue with the power and it was out for the whole day. I had left a text for the Property Manager but did not hear from him. I called when we got back at night and the house was in total darkness and a security alarm was going off. The person that I talked to was unaware of the issue we were having. She spoke English and was major in calling someone who came and reset the fuses and managed after awhile to get the alarm silenced. The one major asset was the ocean view that came with the Cottage and as I already mentioned the town of Arromanches-Les-Bains was amazing and exploring it was an added adventure for our trip.

This is the second time we've stayed at this property and its been wonderful each time. The house is very clean, spacious and equipped with modern appliances. The views from the house are fantastic, the city of Arromanches and the English Channel to the north and a pasture with grazing cows to the east. We took most of our meals on the picnic table outside the kitchen. All in all it was a wonderful stay and a great jumping off place for visit to the D-Day beaches and Normandy.

Excellent for a large group particularly the open plan communal area. Bedrooms were good although one lacked a wardrobe. The self contained basement flat was very good but slightly isolating from the rest of the group. The kitchen was very well equipped. Outside facilities were also good but the inclement weather precluded our enjoyment of them.

Villa Stella is a very nice house with a central location in Normandy. All the D-day beaches are close by. After a day of sight-seeing, it is really nice to relax on the patio of the house, and enjoy the peaceful surroundings!! Certainly recommended.

The house was very clean and well equipped, the bedrooms were spacious and beds were comfortable and the down stairs annex was also very spacious and convenient as we were 4 men visiting the Normandy beaches.

Comfortable and spacious. However, we didn’t realize the basement apartment is totally separated from the upstairs, with no connecting door. To get to it, you have to go outside and down and around to the back side of the house where there is a separate entrance. The TV only had French channels so it had limited utility for us. The location is great with a view of the Med; the town is downhill but it isn’t a bad walk there or back. Lovely little town and great access to the DDay sites.

The property was lovely. Nice and clean. Our only complaints are that the basement roomed smelled terribly upon our arrival, but we aired it out and then it was fine. Beds were kind of hard, and only given one towel per person for a 4 night stay, definitely not enough. We never met the property manager, which was no big deal (was told she didn't speak English anyway so not sure how much help that would have been!) Arromanches is a lovely town and we enjoyed our stay!

The house was beautiful and Arromanches was lovely. Unfortunately the check in process was a bit confusing due to language barrier, as was the issue of whether our group of 7 could have access to the full house. To their credit the manager did their best to make things right. And I had not read the original messages clearly enough regarding the full check in process. All in all the house is very spacious and the kitchen and living room and outdoor table were lovely for spending time together on our family trip. The beds weren’t the most comfortable and the decor could use some updating but definitely a nice beach town house in a very cute town for a Normandy trip.

Stayed here in Arromanches as a central location to tour the Normandy area. The house fit our family of 4 adults and 3 children comfortably. Christophe and Erika were friendly and helpful during our stay. We had a great time and would definitely recommend this rental!

We are a family of 5, one of whom is a very mobile 14 month old. This was the perfect sized house (not too big and no open stairs) where he could roam around without hurting himself and even had his own room. The two older children slept in another room which had bunk beds and a single bed, and we had our own ensuite room. It's all close quarters so you have to be quiet when they've gone to bed but it was still great. The kitchen was very modern and had everything you needed. The garden was a decent size and the kids loved playing in it. Great parking space too. We walked into the town every day which was very easy, taking less than 10 minutes. A couple of restaurants were open in the evening. Enough to choose from for the family. And of course lots of museums and historical sights around the area. This town is a good base point if you're looking to see the D-Day beaches and cemeteries. Be aware that you need around 300€ in cash when you arrive for the deposit. You will get this back when you leave but I must have missed this point when booking it. I only had 200€ on me, but they accepted this and were overall very kind and helpful. I definitely recommend this house.

We stayed for two weeks and loved the location. The house is right on the edge of Arromanches, close enough to easily walk in to the town and Gold beach, but very quiet at the villa. A perfect location for exploring the landing beaches, beautiful Bayeux and even further afield. Villa itself is very comfortable, lots of room and well equiped. Lovely views from all windows and we enjoyed our stay very much. My only suggestion, please cut the lawns! We couldn't really use the garden, as the grass was very long and gardens very overgrown. Overall though, I would highly recommend the villa.

Erica and Christoph were very nice and receptive. Erica met us at the property and showed us around the house. Very clean and appropriate for our family. We had some trouble getting the front door to lock but Christoph was able to come over within 5 minutes and show us what we were doing wrong, very prompt. We spent most of our time out of the house but took the 60€ cleaning fee just to not have to worry about it. Absolutely recommend this location for visiting Arromanches/Landing beaches and would stay here again!

This house easily accommodated our 4 adults and 3 children. It is located just a 5 minute walk from the Arromanches beaches and its D-day museum, and a 12 minute walk from the spectacular 360 cinema up on the hill. The house was clean, comfortable, and nicely equipped. We were 3 minutes from a grocery store and a boulangerie. Yet, there were cows practically grazing in our back yard. They might have produced the milk for the camembert cheese we were eating.

We rented this property on advice from a good friend who had stayed here two years ago. It met all our needs. Pascale was there to welcome us and proved to be helpful during our stay. We chose this place because it is centrally located between the beaches of D day. The town is easily accessible either by walking or car. Quiet and peaceful with a view overlooking the town and harbor it was perfect for our needs.

A great villa within walking distance to Arromanches, but more importantly serves as a great "base" for exploring all the historical significance of Normandy. The WWII D-Day landing beaches and many, many museums and monuments are all 30 min or less by car. And Gold beach is right down in the village, complete with the remnants of the vast harbor that was built in the months proceeding June 6th, 1944. Don't miss Mont St. Michel (2 hr drive) and the town of St Malo. Back near Arromanches, specifically in Bayeux, go see the Bayeux Tapestry, which dates from the 11th century and tells the story of William the Conqueror. The villa itself is highly functional, with good space (3 bedrooms, 1 with bunk beds) provided ample sleeping room for our family of four. Two full bathrooms was also a plus and a bit of a luxury in France;-) There are also some nice views from the villa. You can see out to the water including some of the old harbor, from up on the hill (there are some other buildings in the view, but it is still very nice). Out the bedrooms, there is also a nice view of the meadows and we often saw cows grazing there. The owners were very responsive to our initial request, met us on time and were very pleasant to interact with. We would stay here again.
