Steeped in history, Durham is renowned for its spectacular architecture and the UNESCO World Heritage site of Durham Cathedral and Castle along with its famous university which dates back to the 13th century. Enjoy a 10-minute train journey into the vibrant city of Newcastle and only 45 minutes to historical York. Shop and pub serving food 0.5 miles.

Gorgeous cottage on outskirts of Durham which is a short walk away along the river bank.

An excellent, well-equipped and comfortable cottage where we were given a warm welcome. Easy walking distance of Durham with plenty of footpaths and countryside to explore. Would definitely recommend.
