Steeped in history, Durham is renowned for its spectacular architecture and the UNESCO World Heritage site of Durham Cathedral and Castle along with its famous university which dates back to the 13th century. Enjoy a 10-minute train journey into the vibrant city of Newcastle and only 45 minutes to historical York. Shop and pub serving food 0.5 miles.

We loved everything about Dairy Cottage! Its location is superb for walking into Durham along the riverbank. It was lovely and warm even in the depths of the January weather. A well-equipped kitchen enabled us to cook and eat in with our family. We only had a weekend break but wished we could have stayed longer so hoping to return in the future.

Great cottage great location quite visiting family in Durham so perfect for the purpose. Amenities close by easy walk to Durham would be happy to go back.

Gorgeous cottage on outskirts of Durham which is a short walk away along the river bank.
Lovely quiet location with views of Durham Cathedral it is truly stunning.
