Pretty location but beach needs tending

Both supper and breakfast were delicious. The staff was friendly and obliging. The location, right on the beach, was amazing.

Sadly, we left two days early, simply because of the state of the beach, which was public and therefore not maintained. My take: the beach next to the hotel was small and with all the young, eager staff, a daily clean up of that beach could be organized. It wouldn't solve the issue entirely but it would make the area much more appealing for swimmers. A shame to have that beautiful setting too dotted with rubbish to make swimming possible. For this reason, and the number of stray dogs on the premises, I question the 9.4 rating on Booking.

The hotel is private and clean the set up and location is amazing just not that fancy inside They’re care about the customers. I told them this trip is for our Wedding Anniversary and they are preparing the decorations and the cake which is so sweet!

Very good and relax.

A restaurant ran the hotel, so the breakfast is amazing. We stayed there 5 nights and we had a different breakfast every day. The beach and swimming pool are great. The staff are friendly and nice.

The Stay That Made Every Other Hotel Look Average

Our stay at Khamara was truly memorable. The service was sincere, friendly, honest, and excellent — the kind of hospitality that instantly makes you feel at ease. I also really enjoyed their food and drinks, which added to the overall experience. The room was very comfortable, right on the beachfront, with a pleasant balcony overlooking the sea — the perfect spot to relax. The restaurant was thoughtfully designed, with plenty of seating and lounging areas that created a relaxed and welcoming atmosphere. Prices were more than fair, offering what I would call excellent value for money. In fact, I liked it so much that I felt sad when it was time to leave. It even made all my next (more expensive) hotels feel a little disappointing by comparison! Khamara is a gem in Nusa Penida, and I would wholeheartedly recommend it to anyone visiting the island.

Such an amazing place. It became our home away from home. The staff were so attentive and the rooms were incredible. Our room basically opened up on the beach with a private pool for the 3 rooms to use. The restaurant served delicious, well priced food. Can not fault Kharama one bit. Can't wait to return.

Staff went above and beyond, beautiful view of the ocean from your room

I messaged the hotel before our arrival and they sorted a taxi from the harbor which I’m so glad about as it’s a bit hectic as you’re coming off the boat. We got engaged and when we got back to the venue they surprised me by decorating the room BEAUTIFULLY and made a table setting for breakfast at the beach. I can’t thank the staff enough for how genuinely kind and welcoming they were.

🤿 Snorkles, Warm Stays & Ocean Days at Khamara.

Khamara Nusa Penida is a peaceful and friendly base to explore the island from. The rooms are cool, clean, and comfortable, with a lovely pool to relax by after a day out. The beach club area is amazing with excellent food and amazing snorkelling, where you’ll also find vibrant coral and plenty of sea life right off the beach The real highlight? Subali, his dog Bonnie and the rest of the team—always ready with a smile, a joke, or a chat that makes you feel instantly at home.

The island is bigger than you think. If you want to see everything the island has to offer, add at least one extra day to your planned stay.

Idyllic beach club vibes and staff were amazing.

Khamara was the last stop of our Bali trip and it was absolutely amazing. The staff were all lovely and my husband even got a reputation as the long island iced tea drinker which was so funny. The sand is so white and the sea is turquoise. Its an idyllic beach location and is pretty close to the ferry port. Probably could have walked from the ferry but arranged a car pickup with the hotel as the roads can be a little scary. Thanks Khamara we would love to come back one day.

Beachfront on Nusa Penida

Great beachfront location with good snorkelling just in front. Breakfast was good with fresh juices, fruit and à la carte selection. On the whole staff were friendly and helpful. The room itself was lovely - modern and comfortable with a generous bathroom and lovely seaview, as well as a small outdoor pool.

There were mangy stray dogs constantly wandering through the outdoor areas and the restaurant which was unhygienic and unpleasant, however staff made no effort to keep them off the property. Some of the outdoor seating needed cleaning as there were sweat and water marks on the cushions.

Just awesome

The staff gave exceptional service, and kept the property clean and well maintained at all times. The location was perfect, the views of Mt Agung and the ocean were beautiful. We saw dolphins swimming by and it was awesome to watch all the boats from our balcony. We loved all the food and cocktails, the outlook from the restaurant was amazing. It was a very relaxing stay, wish it could have been longer.

Villa in Paradise

A perfect paradise. 3 Villas around a pool, next to the restaurant, right on the beach. Beautiful for sunrise and sunset. Perfect for swimming and snorkelling right off the beach. All meals were delicious. Staff were wonderfully friendly. The island is so busy with day trippers and you could easily join in - for tours etc and just as easily escape to our own piece of paradise.

Fantastic experience with friendly staff

We had an amazing time at Khamara Beach Club in Nusa Penida! The staff was incredibly friendly and helpful. The variety of food choices, including vegan options, was impressive. They assisted us in renting a scooter for easy exploration and also booked a snorkelling tour for us. Our room was clean and comfortable. Bonus: we enjoyed live music one night, adding to the fantastic experience! Highly recommend.

Superb

I had a villa right on the beach so I could go out on my terrace, order food and drinks, enjoy the music, go to swim, etc. Sunbeds are free to use. The villa was fully new, with electric key, and it was spacious with big bathroom. The menu is cool and the food is good.

The staff is nice and helpful. Only thing is that I had to ask many things separately like the safe code, the terrace door was not locking, i didn't know that there is a water machine in the kitchen etc. Breakfast was good but i felt it extremely slow *like 20 min waiting for the meal.

Lovely friendly atmosphere, with great food and views.

We really enjoyed our stay, the staff were so friendly and helpful! They helped us organized a bike to hire from an external company which was super easy! The room itself was clean and comfortable. We’re we’re in room B, which has a view over the pool and sea. This was beautiful to wake up to every morning (even with the rain). The breakfast was lovely, I had the Nasi Goreng, and my partner had the avocado with poached eggs. Both were delicious. Being sat on the beach front being able to sea the main island of Bali in the distance was a great way to start the morning!

- it is on the beach - they have a great restaurant with tables on the beach as well as sun beds - the stuff is very helpful - the room was clean - all the food at the restaurant is super good

- there is a bad smell in the bathroom - it is near the main road where the scooters are very loud till 10-11 pm and also it waked us up every morning at 6 am :(.

Staffs are very friendly and helpful. hotel is quite new. rooms are super clean and comfortable with many and different types of sockets to plug in your computers and mobile phones. set menu breakfast is tasty. views from balcony are superb!

just in one day I heard the disco noises in the room. noises came from other places not the hotel itself but so loud until midnight (1am) that one couldn’t sleep without ear plug. not the hotel’s fault. just some beach party organized by tourist.

We had the upper room which had very large single glass window on streetside. At 4 am traffic starts at street side. In the night stray dogs fight on beachside. So we didn't get the best sleep. Room rather small. A very high step of 65 cm to get up to get to the stairs leading to the appt. In bathroom strong smell of mothballs (several). The safe comes only with bahasa instruction. Restroom next to the bar downstairs not clean.
