Good accommodation close to the port

Good value for money accommodation near the port, good air conditioning, plenty of hot water, comfortable beds, scooter rental, good WiFi. At the end of my stay they took me by scooter to the port & organised my ferry ticket, the owners were really helpful for my stay.

- Great location right next to harbour, within 5 minutes walk - The owner Kadek is a genuinely great person, he is doing his best to treat his guests special - Room was spacious and spotless clean - The place is located in the Main Street with shops, supermarkets, restaurants, bars and cafes - The room was not noisy as it is slightly inside from the street in a courtyard - Excellent place in every way

Very friendly and helpful owners, always happy and ready to help. The property is in the centre of the main area so it is easy to reach things from there. Great welcome at this property. There were no problems with electricity, water or internet and the room was clean. Great value for money.

There is a very loud and very long call to prayer from the nearby mosque very early each morning. Unlike the usual call to prayers, this one seems to go on for a very long time. Not the fault of the property obviously, but something to keep in mind, as it will wake you up around 0500 each day.

Nice place, great hosts, not for easy sleepers

The hosts were amazing, helped us with everything and were very kind and warm. Gave us a feeling like at home. The place is clean and the location is good.

The mosque woke us up every day at 5am, and even with the earplugs they provided it was hard to sleep. The room is nice and clean but simple - good for the price but not perfect.

Lovely place to stay with amazing host family

Me and my partner stayed here for 2 nights, we had the most loveliest stay. The hosts were the best part about this property, super helpful and genuinely kind. We hired a scooter from them and they help us arrange a taxi to take us down the west of the island. Room was very clean and spacious. The owner even took my partner down to the nearest Landry place and helped him arrange. Also big bonus was their adorable kittens. Very good variety of restaurants near.

Only thing I would say is that there is a religious building nearby which you can hear prayers every now again. Host provides earplugs that are helpful

Comfortable, Convenient, and Welcoming

The bedroom was spacious with a big, very comfortable bed. The location was perfect, just a short walk to restaurants, shops, and the harbor. The lovely family who runs the place made us feel welcome and helped us arrange trips and private taxis with ease. We would happily come back and highly recommend it!

Great stay even better hosts

Ari La Casa is one of those places that stands out as one of my best stays in Indonesia. The hosts were extremely accommodating because my ferry got cancelled so I wasn’t able to check in on the date as expected and when it came to check out they helped take my luggage to the port. The room was clean and the guesthouse conveniently located in the main street near Toya pakeh harbour. They also had an extensive array of services they offered that I wasn’t able to make use of since I had already prearranged but it’s worth noting

Thanks for making our stay in Nusa Penida so wonderful, strangers became friends in four nights.

Kadek and Katut (his lovely lady) went out of their way to assist in ensuring that we had a wonderful stay in Nusa Penida. They organised transport to take us to our snorkeling destinations, arranged transport with a friend in Bali, he hired out motorbikes to our sons, at excellent prices. He even took our luggage back to the harbour on our last day. However, the best was the open-hearted way that we became part of his family. On the last day, my sons caught some fish, Kadek made a fire and cooked the fish for us. Katut made some rice, salad and sauce. What a privilege it was to sit around their table, with some friends, tell stories and listen to fishing stories, a unique experience that we will never forget. We'll be back

their neighbour is building, so the entrance to Ari La Casa looks a bit messy. Don't let that stop any weary travellor or adventurer!

5 star hosts

The owners Kadek and his wife truly went above and beyond to make me feel comfortable and welcome for the duration of my stay. They helped me in every way possible, including dropping me to the hospital and helping me get around after hurting my foot, and I’m so grateful for their hospitality. The room was clean, tidy and comfortable for my short 1 night stay. Location was brilliant for all of the main sights in the area and the owners even organised a scooter tour for me early one morning. Would recommend anyone visiting to stay at this properly. Make sure you take ear plugs for the mosque, but I found beauty in being able to hear the morning prayers and immerse myself into the culture.

Amazing hosts and very cute homestay

This was a beautiful stay the hosts were amazing helping us with whatever we needed no issue too big. The rooms are spacious and clean and the bathroom also spacious and clean

The bathroom is outside which is common on the island, just watch out for wildlife before stepping outside. There was also a loud call to prayer that could be heard from the room understand this is not the owners fault but something to consider if travelling with small children that are light sleepers

Very good value for a multi day stay at his homebase for some diving and or snorkeling adventures in world class setting

Clean, good light, good bathroom, great location, right on the main street, but sat back so quiet. (There are audible Muslim call-to-prayers throughout the day; I feel obligated to mention these because I deem the place “quiet”. ) The location is within easy walking distance of not only the ferry harbor, but great dive shops (see DPM). delicious local restaurants, shops, markets, ATMs, massage and most importantly, excellent gelato. The owners are wonderfully accommodating. The proprietor took me out personally on his motor scooter to see some of the famous beaches and cliffs in the area.

Amzing hosts, great for a quick stay

The hosts were fantastic — incredibly helpful and welcoming. They even drove us to the ferry and local restaurants when needed, and we were able to book activities and our return trip to Bali directly through them, which made things very convenient The rooms were clean, and the property is well located — just a short walk from the ferry and surrounded by restaurants and cafés.

The room would have greatly benefited from at least a wardrobe or some shelving to store belongings. Noise Consideration: One aspect we found particularly challenging was the volume of the Islamic call to prayer, which occurs five times a day, including during the night!! While we understand and respect the cultural context, we weren’t prepared for how loud, persistent, and frequent it would be, and it did disrupt our sleep multiple times. Of course, we know this is beyond the hotel’s control, but it's something future guests may want to be aware of.

Super welcoming

Stayed here for 2 nights and the absolute highlight was the hospitality of the owner. The friendliest and most welcoming host I met during my time in Indonesia! The room was clean, spacious, and super comfortable — with AC, hot water, and complimentary shower gel and shampoo, which was a nice touch. You can easily book everything through the accommodation — scooter rentals, sightseeing tours, snorkeling trips — all at better prices than what I saw online. I was traveling solo, and Ari (the owner) took me around to all the must-see spots on his scooter. He even arranged my boat ticket to Lombok, and his wife gave me a lift to the harbour with all my luggage. Just really thoughtful, above-and-beyond kind of service. The place is also close to the harbour and surrounded by great restaurants and warungs.

The room is very clean and modern with good AC and hot showers. Location couldn’t have been more central, especially great for scuba diving shops! The owner is lovely, he helped us with bike hire and drove us to the ferry port after checking out.

Very convenient location to the harbour and restaurants nearby. Clean room, comfortable bed. The hosts are most friendly and very helpful, e.g. organizing driver for a day tour and boat ticket. The owner offered me a bike ride to the harbour and transported my luggage there too.

Great location, lots of restaurants around, very clean and caring owners

The caring owners that made our stay very comfortable. They welcomed us in with water and even offered to give us a free ride to the pier during checkout. Highly recommend them!

The host was incredibly warm and welcoming, and their English was excellent, which made communication so easy. Before we even arrived, they thoughtfully provided detailed ferry information, which was super helpful. The location is fantastic—very easy to find, just a 6-minute walk from the port, making it perfect for travelers. The host also offers motorbike rentals at a very reasonable price, which was a great bonus for exploring the area. One highlight worth mentioning is the bed—it was incredibly soft and comfortable, probably one of the best I’ve ever slept on! All the basic amenities were provided, so we had everything we needed for a pleasant stay. Lastly, when we were running late for our ferry on the day of departure, the host went above and beyond by kindly giving us a ride on their motorbike to help us make it on time. Their thoughtfulness truly made our trip memorable. I’d highly recommend this place to anyone visiting the area!

Very pleasant stay

Simple but very good and clean accommodation just few minutes walk from the port. The owners were very kind and also made two days trip on scooter around the island with me. In the surrounding there are plenty of restaurants where you can go for breakfast or dinner. There were no mosquitos.

Nearby the accommodation was a mosque where the prayer started every mornin at 5:30 which woke me up every morning at that time.
