Stay was good… it attracts good crowd from all over the world.

Well maintained… the pod allotted to me initially was not fully cleaned and when i requested to change, the request was immediately honoured.

Cost was increased 4 fold during the peak season, new year.

Nice central stay with helpful staff

Good location, close to the main beaches. Staff were lovely & very helpful. All areas were clean & the toilets/showers cleaned regularly throughout the day. Bed was comfortable & breakfast was good!

The room I was in was rather small & the aircon couldn’t be controlled so it was rather stuffy & felt a little damp. My charger port also didn’t work. There were bigger rooms which I’m sure were better for air circulation.

Lovely for the 2 nights I’ve stayed

I loved the place, the beds were super comfy, the environment - fun if you want but also calm. The staff was lovely and I could get around really well. I stayed there for 2 nights tho

The price in the massage I found it a bit expensive compared to prices outside and in the morning you might get woken up by drunk people coming back from a night out.

Great overall

Rooms were small (4 to 6 beds) which is great, the beds were pretty decent : clean, kinda spacious and confortable. The overall place is modern and nice.

The sharing bathroom were a little bit overdue and moisture is apparent. A renovation on the bathroom would be welcome and could bring a 10 to this hostel. The mattress are kinda hard, a more comfy matress would be amazing.

Great!

Lovely pool and lounge area. Also liked the cafe/bar area . Beds were very comfortable and useful to have storage shelves . WiFi was great Location was great

The hostel played sad music all the time and if was a very quiet place to be. Could have benefited from a bit more interaction. Open shared bathrooms weren’t ideal, I also had hornets in the shower with me

Overall great location, great staff, lovely room and pool but there are a few improvements thah could be made!

I had a private room - this was lovely! more like a note than hostel. it had a bit of a smell in the bathroom but i think that is out of the control of the hotel. the pool is great, location is perfect!

The restaurant was pretty poor in my opinion - good value for money but the breakfast food was cold most days. Defo recommend the traditional asian dishes (which were amazing) over the western food.We returned from being out all day to a clean room, but the door hadn’t been shut properly - bit of a security concern! Someone from housekeeping also walked in on my partner in the bathroom after not announcing they were housekeeping - this was at 10am. They also do housekeeping at 6pm? Came back and our room was half cleaned, meaning we had no toilet roll.

Best stay ever ♥️

Everything. It is clean, comfy and they also offer a cleaning service for the bed (which is very practicable if you've spend some time at the beach. You might carry some sand with you.). Also, they have an amazing amount of breakfast opportunities and I would have loved to try them all, because it was so tasty. My personal highlight was the super friendly staff. They are always open to talk and take a lot of care about the guests. I whish them all the best. Compared with other ho(s)tels in this area I would say you have the best price-performance ratio: It is affordable, you have a pool, the way to the beach is max. 10min., and if you want to have a nice massage after having a long flight you can have it directly in the hostel's spa. Personally, I found it very relaxing. I really hope that I can visit this place again. It was the best hostel I've ever visited so far.🥰

Convenience in every possible way.

First off, it is so close to the beach where you can watch the sunset. Literally walking distance! 😊 Facilities are clean and I love that each bed has a curtain for your privacy. The bed is so comfy and the sheets are well cleaned. They also have an in-house cafe where you can get food plus they have a big pool and a nice jacuzzi in the roof top.

There is nothing to unlike in this property to be honest.

I’ve been to Bali many times, but it’s my first time staying at Roommates Hostel. The service is great, especially Risky, he’s really helpful. The rest of the staff are also very nice. The beds are comfortable, and the price is amazing. I’ll definitely be back!

A fantastic stay

This was such a beautiful hostel. I watched sunset from a top floor jacuzzi. Can't say that very often when it comes to hostels! Those at reception were so smiley, friendly and helpful. Location was great too; in walking distance from restaurants and cafes. Would definitely stay again.

Cafe always too busy to get a table. Not very social. Everyone seemed to be digital nomads. Laptops everywhere. Bathroom was slippery. Men and women shared shower and toilet areas

Beware of Major Bedbug Outbreak

Nothing, I was forced to stay there during a major bedbug outbreak since they refused to refund me.

The property is under a MAJOR bedbug infestation. Most bedsheets are bloodstained from guests who were bitten and the property doesn't wash them properly, making us sleep on other people bloodstain marks and remaining of bedbud smashes. It was really disgusting when I found out on the first night that my bedshits had not been changed after the previous guest left. I asked to change all the bedshits and the second set was also stained. But I only realized what was going on the second night when I woke up at 4 a.m. full of bedbug bites and found them crawling on my bed and drinking my blood. I then ordered to change rooms at 4 a.m., but they put me on another room also infested by bedbugs. I then gave up on sleeping and took my luggage to the reception, waiting for the girls to arrive and asked for a refund for the 5 nighs left, but they refused to refund me. Instead, they told me they would give me a new room with new and clean bedshits. Really? Isn't it what is expected from a hostel? Clean bedsheets free of bedbugs? I had no money to pay for another hostel so I stayed another 5 nights there, but every night I woke up panicking about the idea of having bedbugs on my bed. I met many other guests with bedbugs bites during may stay there. One girl had over 40 bites all over her body. They also denied her a refund, but she left anyways. The bed courtains are also dirty and disgusting. The room is only superficially clean, it is full of trash under and on the corners of the beds.

⚠️ INFESTED WITH BEDBUGS ⚠️ RUN AWAY

This was my second stay at this hostel and I ended up with 137 bed bug bites (17 of which were on my face). I saw a bed bug on the morning of my check out so I informed reception. They told me that a refund was not possible and offered me a free hour massage which I refused. I informed them that I had taken photos and was going to post a bad review and they then offered to refund me for one night if I didn't post the review (they asked me to sign a written contract), which I also refused. I spoke to other backpackers who all told me they had the same thing. One of them told me he'd changed rooms 3 times because there was bedbugs every time. And there was dried blood on the sheets. They don't intend to do anything to eradicate the bedbugs that are EVERYWHERE.

Pretty decent stay with fancy facilities

Set in a prime location with a lot of fancy facilities like jacuzzi, pool and spa. The Spa was the best part of my stay. It was worth every penny and the masseuse was really good! Great place to socialize and meet people.

The bathrooms could have been a little more clean. Also I was denied the breakfast which was included in my stay stating that they close the kitchen at 10.45am. I was however informed at the reception that breakfast was available till 11am.

Perfect place to find friends when you are travelling solo.

What you get is good for its price with the updated design of the place. It also has a nice restaurant and pool. It's in a quiet area but still very close to the places where you want to be in Canggu.

There are lots of drippings in our room so there are several areas that are wet and could be a hazard. Thus, it made the room a bit unkempt. The toilets are fine but could be cleaner.

Very clean and they change bed linen daily. friendly and helpful staff, special shout out to Dayu and Rindy who were very helpful! Lovely pool and also hot tub on the 3rd floor. Great cheap restaurant serving good food from breakfast to dinner

Excellent in every way

Room was very good, shared bathroom very clean, good and affordable food at the restaurant, but the best part of my stay was the people working there. Even though everywhere in Bali people are really friendly, the staff here definitely has something extra. Dayu (lady at the reception) always gave me such a warm and friendly welcome, and my chats with her every time made my day. 😊

Fine, good location, comfy beds. You get what you pay for.

I liked the dorm rooms. I had a very comfortable and private bunk bed area with a locked safe and shelves to store all of my stuff. The rooftop jacuzzi/spa area was also nice. It was really cheap and a great location, close to everything in the centre of Canguu. Good for a short stay, if you need somewhere to crash.

The bathrooms were really dirty, mouldy, full of old dirty bathroom supplies of previous guests, and there was minimal room to keep my stuff while I showered without it getting wet. The shower was also difficult to use as the taps sprayed upwards directly at the door rather than downwards. I felt like the whole vibe of the place was a bit transient, lots of travellers coming and going but not much of a community vibe. When I checked in, I was shown my room but was not shown where the bathrooms were or other facilities and had to work it out for myself.

Great place to stay in busy Canggu !

The location is great and the hostel is really cozy and has everything you need. It has swimming pool and restaurant. Upstairs jacuzzi. The decoration is beautiful. Receptionist are correct and nice

The dorms quite small and the common areas a bit dirty but is always one man cleaning up. When I stay there, in the restaurant I ordered few things and they didn’t have the stock. A bit disappointing.

Not worth what we paid.

The dorm rooms are really nice and well planned. The beds all have curtains for privacy, nice reading lights, good mattresses, a safe, and even two shelves to store your personal items.

The bathrooms were absolutely shocking. They need a serious deep clean. The drain in the showers were all blocked and smelled of urine. The mens bathrooms smelled even worse. The bathroom floors and toilets all stunk of urine and were disgusting dirty. There were very few showers with hooks on them. And even those with meant your items still got wet. We’ve stayed in 100s of accommodations around the world (including hostels) and we have never seen such dirty bathrooms. The sink areas were dirty as well as never had hand soap, and the females didn’t have any privacy at all from the showers and the sink areas shared with the mens toilets. No where to safely change as a female no privacy. We did mention this to the front desk staff as well. The bathrooms need some serious management and restyling. My partners linen on the top bunk was also stained.

GREAT location, lovely staff, good breakfast, beautiful swimming pool, restaurant and rooftop area. Few min walk to the surf beach!

No locker in the room. Next to the bed there is just empty space where you can keep your backpacks. For those who travel with laptop or expensive cameras /drone locker is important. Rooms should be painted again.
