If you enjoy partying this might be best hostel.

Everything was good especially the staff.

Everything was good except a big rat on the ceiling its a wooden house. Its a party hostel keep that in mind.

Great Staff, But Significant Guest Conduct Issues

The hotel has undeniable strengths: the staff are incredibly friendly and helpful, and the location is superb with some wonderful cafes nearby

However, these positives were overshadowed by the behavior of some fellow guests. A recurring and unpleasant issue was the lack of basic hygiene, most notably that the toilet in our room was frequently left unflushed by other occupants sharing the facility. This, combined with a general lack of diversity and a few unwelcoming interactions, made the overall atmosphere feel uncomfortable.

The staff and the owner are the reason I will continue to go back to the Gypsy. They make you feel like family and anything you need they will do their best to accommodate. Every time I go there I run into others who have returned and it makes for a great atmosphere.

Where the party never stops

Best party hostel ever! I've never met people so quickly in a hostel, and the vibe is amazing, with good music, never ending card games and a lot of free shots. It was also really clean, it's the first hostel in Indonesia where I didn't see any insects in the rooms or bathrooms. It's also well located, near lots of shops, restaurants, and the beach. It's definitely not the place to go if looking for a chill and relax vibe, but if you want the party of your life, 100% would recommend going there!!!

Very nice

The workers were so nice and made sure everyone was included in playing games or parties! It definitely a party hostel! The beds were comfortable, the bathroom was clean (still wear slippers) and the pool was perfect to cool down! Just a good atmosphere if you like partying and being social!

I got disturbed a couple of times by people opening my curtain when I just wanted to be alone or wanted to sleep. The music is a bit loud and starts very early!

The location was perfect, brilliant atmosphere and great activities! The staff were also amazing, shout out to Tuesday who always kept the mood up and did the most to make everyone feel included! Will definitely be back if I'm ever in Chiang Mai.

All is good - location on the best street in Canggu, cleaning everyday, bed is very spacious and comfortable. Everyday activity from the staff, you’ll never be boring

Home away from home

An absolut great experiance, the staff and Steph were really welcoming, it felt like a second home. With the surfervibe and some good parties I was able to fully enjoy my time at the hostel. The beds are really comfortable, I liked the nice small pool and the prices for the drinks are good. I can absolutely recommend the hostel. Thank you guys, I will miss you and Bali !

The nicest people

Felt instantly welcome when we arrived. Such a great atmosphere to the place and in an ideal location. Rooms were clean and the shower was fantastic. The dog tipsy was so cute too

The rain was so heavy when we arrived that it leaked through the roof in our dorm but the staff were quick to fix it

no bad location

I don’t recommend at all if you are a **woman alone** to stay here!! The hostel is out of control by night and the personal is drunk as well. In my room it was an abuse situation and when we try to talk with the hostel they said that the guy that we were talking about was like “family” for them and was not possible…. Unbelievable!!! it was not me the person abused, If it had been me, the hostel would already have a complaint with the police.

Ok for a night or two, good location, good for a party, friendly staff.

I liked the location of the property. The wifi was good and staff seemed friendly, answering any questions. I did not use the pool but it looked inviting. The lockers were large enough for a big bag or case. There was air conditioning in the room. Each bed had a light, shelf and a plug socket that worked.

The toilet and shower was very basic and could do with a few repairs, the locks on the doors were not good and a few hooks and a shelf in the shower would be nice. The main lights were so bright but angled so they would shine right in your eyes when sat in the top bunk! The bedroom was slightly musty and the tables and chairs in the seating area were always sticky (tacky) like a pub! The staff and some guests had been out together drinking which was great. A girl got so drunk she was falling all over the place. She was coming in the room screaming, singing, swearing and shouting. A member of the team did say sorry and suggested ear plugs, Not the most helpful!!!! I was told when I arrived not to leave the door open because of bugs. Well that rule went right out the window!!! I was bitten to pieces by mosquitos in my room that night, so don't forget bug spray!!! I was, along with others becoming irritated to the fact nothing was done about her swearing and shouting and being generally disrespectful to others. Yes go out, yes enjoy yourself, but not at the expense of other paying guests. Disappointed.

We arrived at night and could check in without problems out of the opening hours, which is a great service. The staff is amazing and make sure that you have a great time. Location is close to bars and beach and pool is very nice as well. Will be back!
