Absolutely loved this cottage ! It's so cosy and spotlessly clean throughout . The beds are to die for so much so that I am going to ask where the mattresses are from . Such a peaceful and quiet location with a beautiful stream right outside for a lovely walk with our dogs . The location is very good , within 10 mins drive to lovely beaches .would love to come back in the summer with o experience it in a different way as it was snowing and freezing while we was here , but that didn't stop us walking along the beaches .
Nothing to dislike at all

Fisherman's cottage is in an idyllic spot in the beautiful village of Llanystumdwy. The parking is on the quiet lane directly opposite the cottage, which is ideal for unloading the car. It is lovely and comfortable inside and very clean. There were welsh oatcakes and orange juice on the side when we arrived, which was a lovely touch, thank you. There was a basket with doggie essentials....pack of treats, bowls, and poop bags.
There were also cleaning products and a jar of coffee, tea bags, sugar, etc.
The bedrooms were a really good size, so nicely decorated and the beds were very comfortable. Also, there are plenty of coathangers in the wardrobes. The bathroom is modern and so clean with a double length walk-in shower. (also shampoo/conditioner, handwash, shower gel, etc. in the bathroom)
There are board games and a great selection of dvds to watch.
The enclosed garden was useful for our 2 dogs.
Llanystumdwy was a great spot. The pub is 2 mins walk away, and Friday night, there was a pop-up pizza van at the side so you could have a bite to eat with your drink. The little community serve yourself shop by the pub, is great too, and it's stocked with lots of essentials from milk, eggs, bread, cakes, tea bags, drinks, cleaning products, etc.and is open quite late.
There is a river that runs opposite to the cottage and just up the lane is the Lloyd George memorial. Fantastic walks with the dogs. Also in the village is the Lloyd George museum.
The cottage is in a great spot for visiting lots of different places such as Criccieth, Porthmadog, Abersoch, Pwhelli etc.
We loved our stay and will definitely be back.
There was nothing we didn't like.

Just a suggestion - it would be good to have a couple of microwaveable pans especially if kids with you (for beans etc!!)

A lovely cozy cottage with all the amenities you could possibly need. Comfortable beds, modern bathroom, place to sit outside, fantastic internet. It was great that tea, coffee, Welsh cakes and orange juice were provided plus dog bowls, poop bags and a dog towel for wet paws (which wasn’t needed as the weather was lovely). We were 5 minutes from the venue of the wedding we were attending & Lloyd George’s grave is on the same street as the cottage. We’re just sorry we we only stayed two nights for a wedding we were attending we would have loved to have explored. The dogs loved the lovely walks we managed to fit in & they were very appreciative of the dog treats.

This property was lovely. More spacious than expected. Well equipped kitchen and Welsh cakes a bonus. The owners had put a lot of little extras in and so thoughtful about our dog.
A very homely feeling about it and in such a beautiful location.
Would highly recommend staying here.

Clean, comfy beds, sufficient outside space to sit in the evening and even have a barbecue if you so wish. Tea, coffee, washing detergent, oil and other basics provided for us. Couldn’t have asked for much more for the price.
Nothing to do with the property, it was great.

Our 2nd stay in this cottage, it’s clean, comfortable and a real home from home.
No curtains only blinds but not blackout blinds so in summer time the bedrooms are full on daylight at 5am

Great access, great location, great facilities, everything we needed, nice decor, doors a bit dated and out of character of the property.
Bedroom needed better blinds and or curtains, too much light let in early hours of the morning. read they had been upgraded but really not fit for purpose. perhaps owners need to to sleep over to appreciate the issue.

Location - cottage is next to a beautiful woodland river walk that goes for a couple of miles, near to several beaches and other local attractions close by including megalithic monuments and Lloyd George museum. Village is small, with a pub and honesty shop.
Cottage - spacious, clean, comfortable, with a well equipped modern kitchen and bathroom. Easy parking with plenty of spaces.
Dog friendly - provided with bowls, treats and towel. Gate at the bottom of the stairs and there is closed in yard/garden at the back.
Had a lovely stay, was very relaxing and quiet. Appreciated the welcome goodies and there was good communication from owners. Would highly recommend and happily return.
nothing, only suggestion would be two comfortable outdoor lounge chairs to sit in the sunshine as the back of the cottage is a suntrap.

The bedrooms were well set out with themed bedding. They were cosy and bright. The bathroom was clean and well maintained with a powerful shower. The kitchen was more than suitable for our needs. The living area was cosy and warm once the heating had kicked in. We would recommend the property to anyone wanting to stay in the Cricieth and Llanystumdwy area.
It took a while to warm up on Friday evening.

Nicely renovated cottage in a good location to visit both the Lynn peninsula and Snowdonia. Owners pay a lot of attention to detail and are easy to communicate with.

Location perfect but parking tight.
Return was excellent, I commend your tiler , the bathroom tiling was excellent.
Large fridge dish washer and microwave really helpful, add 1hour on heating very good. Lovely hot water too thankyou.
Only one thing the sofa was too low for elderly guests like us. Easily rectified with either elephant feet and / or thick foam under seat cushion.
We prefer pet free but upstairs was fresh.

Thoughtfully set-up, characterful cottage in a great location. Bedrooms very comfortable and quiet through the night. Recently modernised bathroom and well equipped kitchen with the latter providing everything you would need to fully self-cater during your stay. Very high standard of cleanliness and would have no hesitation in booking again.

The cottage is a real hidden gem, in an idyllic setting, and in a great location!
The river walk, directly opposite the front door, is stunning!
The owners thought of everything - we only stayed 2 nights, but we will definitely book again. We love North Wales, and this little cottage made the stay even better!

shower, kitchen, location, outlook, layout, hooks a plenty, comfy beds, excellent. thank you
the height of the microwave!
outdoor furniture not immediately accessible
didn’t download precise details before losing internet access, a more detailed map might have helped me, Mr Tesco delivery man’s Welsh pronunciation sent me driving around again until very obliging staff member at the pub kindly put us right, back to where we had already been! well worth the treasure hunt though.

We absolutely loved our weekend staying at the Fisherman's Cottage. Location was fantastic and the cottage itself was lovely and full of charm. It was spotlessly clean and had everything you needed. We will definitely revisit.
