Sea Crest, Beautiful home in Tenby with sea views

This chalet bungalow was comfortable, clean, fresh and very well equipped. Situated on a quiet cul de sac. It was pleasant walking distance from the beach so nice not to have to look for parking however be aware that it is NOT an easy 10 minute stroll. It is situated on a hill so a steep 20 minute uphill return walk which is more difficult with a pushchair or small children carrying beach kit. The rooms were all decorated with a theme in mind for example the rabbit room. We did find that in some rooms for example the bathroom there were rather too many themed ornaments leaving little room for our own possessions. The secluded private fenced garden was useful for the dog and small children although accessed by tricky wooden steps.

We booked "Seacrest" primarily because we liked the sound of the sea views stated in the property description. Also being 10 minutes walk from the beach which we do not consider to be accurate. The sea was only distantly visible over rooftops from a single velux window in the 1st floor bedroom. It could just about be glimpsed when standing on one corner of the decking. Our idea of sitting relaxing with a view of the sea could not therefore be realised. This property is very pleasant and would no doubt be fully booked without describing it as having a sea view. Absolute accuracy would avoid future disappointment. The design makes clever use of the space but when booking it is difficult to work out sleeping arrangements in each room. We have a son who is 6ft 3 and he would have found it impossible to sleep in the limited headroom cabin double on 1st floor. He slept in the double room which had a double bed with footboard so still not ideal. We should have checked whether a king size bed was present before booking.

A wonderful home. Very well equipped, I could have prepared and cooked a banquet there if I had chosen to. Views from third bedroom beautiful. Road was quiet and a lovely walk down to North beach and town via Slippery Back.

The air freshener in living room was a little overpowering on arrival but easily remedied by switch off during my stay and put back on when I left.

Nicely decorated with sea views from decking and top room. Lots of basics provided including a welcome hamper. Comfortable sitting room.
