Location was ideal

There was only 1 toilet roll we could find!

Excellent location, only a few mins walk into town. Parking 2 minutes walk away. Very clean and nicely decorated. Will definitely be booking again

The location and the house was perfect for our needs.also clean comfortable beds.

The property itself is beautiful and clearly has had a lot of thought put into it. It was well-equipped with good-quality appliances and included a number of nice extra touches that made it feel welcoming. Overall, it had most of what we needed for our stay, and it’s obvious the owner invested in furnishing it to a good standard.

Unfortunately, the cleanliness fell well below what we expected. The floors were extremely dirty, to the point that simply walking around barefoot left the soles of our feet black. It was bad enough that we ended up buying a mop and cleaning the floors ourselves. The sofas were in a similar condition, wiping them with a damp cloth immediately revealed how much dirt had built up. The property deserves better, but the cleaning standards simply aren’t maintaining the quality that the owner has clearly tried to achieve. One thing we hadn’t realised from the listing was that there isn’t a freezer, only a small fridge. That may have been something we overlooked, but it’s worth mentioning for anyone planning a longer self-catering stay. There is also no garden or enclosed outdoor space. The only entrance and exit is through the front door, which opens directly onto a very narrow path beside the main road. With young children, this felt quite hazardous and made coming and going more stressful than we’d anticipated. Finally, the waste disposal arrangements were frustrating. We were warned that we’d be fined if we didn’t separate our recycling, yet there were no separate recycling containers provided. Inside the property there was only a single small kitchen bin, and we couldn’t find any external bins to empty it into during our stay. If you plan on cooking most of your meals at the property, this quickly becomes inconvenient as the bin fills up very fast. Overall, it’s a lovely property with a lot of potential, but the poor cleaning standards and a few practical shortcomings meant it didn’t quite live up to our expectations.
