The Blue House

We had a lovely stay overall and really enjoyed our time at the house. It was clean and welcoming when we arrived, and the couch had already been set up as a bed, which was very convenient for us. The kitchen is well equipped, and we found both the stove and oven worked very well. We made good use of the hoover to keep the house clean during our stay, and it was great to have access to the washing machine, which we used twice. There is also a dryer in the bathroom, which added to how well equipped the house is. We didn’t mind the noise too much, as we were usually quite tired after spending our days exploring the island. Communication with Jose was excellent—he kept in touch, answered all our questions, and was very helpful throughout. We also really appreciated the thoughtful touches, including a cot provided for our toddler and a lovely welcome gift from Jose.

The house has a gated entrance with a remote, which works well, though you do need to be ready to open it quickly when entering or exiting due to the amount of traffic outside. Parking can feel a bit hectic and stressful at times because of oncoming cars, but it’s manageable with a bit of care.

We really enjoyed the excellent location with a beautiful view and a lovely terrace. The convenient parking spot in the backyard was a big plus. There’s a grocery store nearby and plenty of local bars within walking distance. The kitchen was well equipped, making it easy to prepare our own meals.

The house is located near a bus stop, so the street can be busy during the day, which meant a little less privacy. However, since we spent most of the day out, it wasn’t a major issue. The apartment could have been a bit cleaner, but it didn’t cause us significant problems. The shower was slightly clogged during our stay, but we believe this has already been fixed.

A casa tinha uma ótima vista e ótima localização, anfitrião muito simpático e prestável. Bom lugar para estacionar o carro, vizinhança tranquila, e tinha todos os utensílios.

A casa tinha um forte cheiro a humidade bastante incomodativo e que não desaparecia (cheiro constante) por mais que o arejássemos. A limpeza foi muito aquém: superfícies sujas, teias de aranha, cortinados com marcas evidentes de humidade/bolor e insetos e larvas na zona do ar condicionado que se espalhavam pelo quarto. Além disso, a sala poderia ter mais isolamento de luz e ar condicionado (casa muito abafada) uma vez que esta pode ser alugada para 4 pessoas. O vidro do roupeiro do quarto também se encontra partido.
