Comfortable in a good location.

Location!

It was listed as 5* and probably only a 3! Bit disappointed that we’d payed for the whole property only to find certain rooms were locked!! Surely when you book accommodation you should receive what you’ve paid for regardless whether it’s used or not!!

Blue Sparrow House

House was very comfortable and clean, and perfectly located for our weekend event at the Guild Hall.

Good space in a fairly central location with all the necessary facilities but poor pillows were a problem aswell as feel

Blue Sparrow is in a good location if you need to be in the centre of Portsmouth. It generally has good facilities although a few more homely comforts would have been welcome, eg games, toys. Living area is a little small for the size of the home. The main thing that let it down was the lumpy pillows and out of six people, only one slept well on the first night. We had to buy some but there was an Asda across the road! The other down side was the lack of curtains and flats right opposite. I had read the previous comments about this but thought there must be a lack of net curtains or something, thinking it couldn’t be that bad but you do feel exposed and I think this is an easy fix. Overall we were pleased with the space, cleanliness, location and parking. The communication was good when I needed to get hold of the owners.

Very comfortable and clean.

Property was very clean, comfortable, modern and had all mod-cons. Off street parking was also a bonus.

The main lounge could do with some privacy such as curtains or blinds as a large window is present with a block of flats overlooking. Could do with a second key to the front door as we were a group and had to be together to get in.

House in town with ample parking

The house was spotless and had off street parking to the rear of the property. There is a large entrance hall, leading into an open planned kitchen/diner/lounge, with a large flat screen TV. The kitchen was very well stocked, they had spices sauces salt pepper herbs foil just to name a few...a nice touch Thank you There is a downstairs shower room, a large corner shower. Again plenty of extras, New toothpaste cotton buds shower gels etc... The bedrooms are large, the beds were firm and very comfortable. There is a supermarket literally on the doorstep.

No curtain/blinds in the lounge/dining area looking towards a large garden. There is a residential building behind and it over looks the lounge/dining area.

Great location for shops food and pubs all on the doorstep including a big asda .. 10 munute walk to town centre .. lots of amenities in the house , beds very comfortable.. also quiet at night

Fun weekend in Portsmouth.

Plenty of space, equipped with everything we needed, comfy beds, 2 bathrooms, great location for us, we walked everywhere pretty much during our stay. Seafront and town not too far plus close to Fratton station and bus routes if you don't want to walk. Asda on doorstep, literally! Plenty of takeaways around the corner if you don't feel like cooking, Fratton cafe was great for breakfast. We'd def stay here again :)

Not a complaint at all but would have been handy to have 2 keys as at times we were off doing different things. Also one of the 2 fans supplied we couldn't get to work, but really wasn't much too of a problem.

Easy location, less than 10 minutes to the seafront. Quiet, comfortable stay, with gated private garden (where we parked our car) and lots of space for a family of 5.

Very clean, light, airy & spacious in the bedrooms with comfortable beds. all the basics provided I.e. toilet rolls, washing up liquid, hand soaps, tea & coffee, general toiletries to cover anything forgotten. central location good efficient local taxi company plus massive Asda directly opposite! great parking up-to 3 cars off road courteous & responsive owner

large living/dining room window may benefit from a net/blind/curtain although there is walking past visibility into the rear. extra easy chair in the living/dining area?
