Historic Center Brno Apartment

Great location, very accommodating hosts and a beautiful place.

This was a very nice studio apartment in Brno. The location was close to grocery stores and lots of restaurants. It was in the heart of the downtown area and a short walk to the train station. There is a lift and a few stairs to access the apartment. It was very clean upon our arrival. Just to note that it is a small studio and one side of the double bed is up against a wall and can't be moved. Communication with the hosts was very good. We enjoyed our stay.

Great apartment, perfect for 1 or 2 people. The location is excellent, 10 minute walk from the station, 30 minute walk from a pretty much anything in the center, maybe less if you're in a hurry. Communication with the host was excellent and prompt, the check-in system was easy. You need to be able to access your messages because one of the codes you have to input is quite long. I had a bottle of tap water waiting for me in the fridge, which was very nice. I didn't need the iron, the hairdryer or the washing machine, but they are available.

Many apartments (in Brno too) now have Nespresso machines, so I kind of expected one. Instead, there was a French press, which I was too lazy to use, so I got my coffees from the coffeeshops in the area. The bathroom and the towels had a slight moldy smell, probably due to the fact that the bathroom doesn't have a window. The ventilation is enough to handle the vapour from the shower, but probably not the permanent humidity. The sun hits the windows for most of the day, so if you get in before 10 PM, the apartment will be quite hot. End of April, 6 PM, I was very close to turning on the AC. There are no insect nets, so if you leave the windows open, mosquitoes might be an issue in the summer.

It's not the first time I've stayed here. As always, everything was excellent.
