We know Alnmouth well , this cottage was just off the Main Street and only a short walk to the Village Golf Course which is lovely . Cosy cottage but 2 couples might find it a bit small especially if the weather wasn’t good. Two nice meals in The Whittling House and Bistro 23 . Trip to the Farne Islands , Alnwick Gardens and lots of lovely beach walks .
There is no ice / freezer compartment in the fridge - had to ask different establishments for a glass of ice , frozen food not an option . Use of garden opposite ? Not mentioned but certainly improved our stay - apparently shared but not sure by which cottages.

Beautifully furnished , cozy bedrooms and nice large bathroom . Well equipped small kitchen
These are not things I didn’t like - just examples of things that could be even better :
Brighter main light in the sitting room;
More detailed instructions for the heating and gas fire ;
Some of the door handles were stiff and tricky to open . None of these things would stop me from booking Sandpiper again .
